NGANZAI CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS PAY CONGRATULATORY VISIT TO APC GOVERNORSHIP FLAG BEARER, ENGR. MUSTAPHA GUBIO

The Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu, led a high-powered delegation of Nganzai critical stakeholders on a familiarization and congratulatory visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Flag Bearer, Engr. Mustapha Gubio.

The delegation, which comprised political leaders, party stalwarts, community representatives, and other key stakeholders from Nganzai LGA, visited the APC gubernatorial candidate to formally congratulate him on his emergence as the party’s flag bearer and to reaffirm the unwavering support and loyalty of the people of Nganzai towards the APC and its leadership.

The visit was graced by the presence of the Honourable Member representing Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Federal Constituency, Engr. Bukar Talba, alongside other prominent state stakeholders and party leaders who commended the spirit of unity and commitment demonstrated by the Nganzai delegation.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu expressed confidence in the leadership capacity, experience, and vision of Engr. The Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu, alongside the District Head of Nganzai LGA, Engr. Babashehu Abubakar Garbai, and councillors of the Local Government, witnessed and celebrated the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, in their hometown of Nganzai.

During the celebration, the Chairman warmly interacted with residents of the Local Government Area at the Government Lodge, where he hosted and received various groups including clubs and associations, Islamic scholars (Ulama), youths, and community members. In the spirit of the blessed Sallah celebration, he generously distributed Sallah packages to support and celebrate with the people.

As part of the activities marking the Eid celebration, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu, together with the councillors and other officials, also paid visits to various security agencies within the Local Government Area. During the visits, he appreciated their sacrifices and unwavering commitment towards maintaining peace and security, while extending his routine support and generosity through the distribution of Sallah packages to enable them celebrate the Eid festivities in peace and tranquility.

UPDATE NGANZAI LGA:

The Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Malam Gana Badu, successfully conducted the APC Presidential Primary Election in Nganzai LGA. The exercise was peaceful, transparent, and well-coordinated.

The delegation of the Local Government was led by the Member representing Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Bukar Talba, while Hajja Zara Muhammad headed the State Primary Election Committee.

At the end of the exercise, the APC Presidential Aspirant, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, recorded a total of 10,960 votes, while Stanley Osifo scored zero votes.

The successful conduct of the primary election reflects the unity, commitment, and strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nganzai Local Government Area.

NGANZAI LGA DELEGATION PARTICIPATES IN APC GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTION AS Engr MUSTAPHA GUBIO EMERGES FLAG BEARER

The Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu, alongside party stakeholders, elders, delegates, youths, and supporters from Nganzai LGA, participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election and affirmation ceremony held in Maiduguri, which produced Engr. Mustapha Gubio as the party’s governorship flag bearer for the 2027 general elections in Borno State.

The Nganzai delegation joined other APC stakeholders and supporters across the state in witnessing the peaceful and successful exercise, which reflected the unity and internal democracy within the party.

Speaking during the affirmation ceremony, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, described the emergence of Engr. Mustapha Gubio as the will of Almighty Allah and appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima for their continued support and leadership which ensured a rancour-free primary election in the state.

Governor Zulum stated that the successful consensus and peaceful conduct of the exercise further strengthened the unity and stability of the APC in Borno State.

In his remarks, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, commended the people of Borno State for the orderly conduct of the elections and called on all party members to remain united in the interest of peace, progress, and development of the state.

The Vice President emphasised that there should be “no victor and no vanquished” in the contest, urging all aspirants and supporters to work together for the collective success of the APC ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Delivering his acceptance speech, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Engr. The Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Mohammad Mallam Gana Muhammad Badu Malam Gana, together with the Member House of Representatives representing Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Federal Constituency, Hon Engr Bukar Talba , alongside other party stakeholders, today witnessed the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Nganzai State Constituency ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The primary election was conducted peacefully and successfully under the supervision of the party’s election committee chaired by Hajja Zara Muhammad , the Borno State APC Women Leader. The exercise attracted party stakeholders, delegates, supporters, and members from across the constituency.

At the conclusion of the process, Dr. Sheikh Mohammed Ali Gajiram emerged victorious as the APC consensus candidate after the other contestant voluntarily stepped down in the spirit of unity, progress, and the collective interest of the party.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, Hon. Engr. Mohammad Mallam Gana Badu commended the maturity, discipline, and unity displayed by party members throughout the election process. Kadafur Commissioned 6 major projects in Gajiram
..... Reaffirms government commitment to healthcare and recovery, inspects ongoing 500 resettlement houses.

The Acting Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr) Umar Kadafur today commissioned six major development projects in Nganzai Local Government Area, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to healthcare delivery, education, and post-insurgency recovery.

The projects commissioned include a 48-classroom and administrative complex at the Higher Islamic College, Gajiram, fully equipped with furniture, computers, solar power, digital examination devices, free meals, and learning materials; ten blocks of classrooms under the AGILE project at Government Day Secondary School, Ngajiram; the official residence of the Executive Chairman of Nganzai LGA; solar-powered streetlights; a mega solar-powered borehole; and a shopping complex and master chalets at the District Head’s Palace.

A major highlight of the visit was the official commissioning of the General Hospital, Gajiram, a newly constructed secondary healthcare facility designed to serve Gajiram town and surrounding communities.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Acting Governor Kadafur described healthcare as the most direct measure of governance, noting that leadership is tested not by promises but by lives saved.

“This General Hospital stands as evidence of our deliberate efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, expand access to quality medical services, and safeguard the wellbeing of our citizens,” he said.
“No community in Borno State is too remote or too small to deserve quality healthcare.”

The Acting Governor noted that the project aligns with the administration’s 25-Year Borno State Development Plan, emphasizing that the state is steadily transitioning from recovery to stability and sustainable development.

He explained that the hospital was established to correct long-standing imbalances in access to healthcare, where rural communities were underserved and forced to rely on overstretched primary health centres.

Acting Governor Kadafur stated that the Gajiram General Hospital provides emergency care, surgical services, maternal and child healthcare, diagnostic and laboratory services, inpatient care, and pharmaceutical services under a coordinated system.

The facility is supported by a hybrid power supply, combining grid electricity, generators, and solar energy to ensure uninterrupted services.

He also stressed the importance of human resources, assuring that doctors, nurses, midwives, and other health professionals are being recruited and deployed across local government areas, with attention to staff welfare and continuous training.

Earlier, the Honourable Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Professor Baba Mallam Gana, described the hospital as a functional solution to identified healthcare gaps in Nganzai LGA.

He explained that the facility was carefully planned to operate as a full secondary healthcare centre, reducing avoidable referrals, emergency delays, and preventable deaths.

He added that the Ministry has intensified the recruitment and deployment of healthcare workers, particularly to underserved areas.

Professor Gana commended the support of development partners, including WHO, UNICEF, and LAFIYA-UK, for their contributions to strengthening Borno’s health system.

The Member of the House of Representatives representing Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Federal Constituency, Hon. Bukar Talba, commended the state government for the projects delivered in his constituency.

He disclosed that the solar streetlights and solar-powered borehole were facilitated through the North East Development Commission (NEDC).

He appealed for the provision of additional staff quarters to accommodate personnel to be posted to the hospital and schools, and called for the resettlement of internally displaced persons back to their communities.

He also pledged to plant trees and protect the newly commissioned projects.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Malam Gana Badu, thanked the Acting Governor for his unwavering commitment to education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure development.

“This occasion is not just a commissioning, but a celebration of resilience, commitment, and hope for a better future for the people of Nganzai,” he said, assuring that the facilities would be properly managed and sustainably utilized.

On his return journey, Acting Governor Kadafur stopped at Gajiganna town in Magumeri Local Government Area to inspect 500 housing units currently under construction, complete with boreholes, schools, and shopping facilities.

The Chairman of Magumeri LGA, Dr. Ali Yaumi, informed the Governor that the project is expected to resettle four displaced communities and would be completed within three months.

Governor Kadafur commended the quality of work and assured the council of adequate funding to ensure timely completion.

Swearing-in the newly elected Twelve councilors who are all members of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, the oath was sworn with the Holy Qur’an by All councilors according to their faiths.

The Council’s Legal Officer Barrister sanda Alhaji makka, coordinated the swearing ceremony at the council chamber conference hall of the Local Government Secretariat which was witnessed by the Executive Chairman of Nganzai Local Government, Hon. Engr.Muhammad Mallam Gana Badu, and other top management staff members of the council.

Graced the occasion as colourfully dressed and full of life for APC's victory across all the Twelve wards in Nganzai. Former chairmen prominent stakeholders were also present.

According to Hon. Badu, the new councilors are his brother, “my happiness is hinged on brotherhood and friendship that bind us together as members of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also promised that the new councilors will enjoy utmost cooperation from him.

“This cooperation is the necessary ingredient that must not lack in the pot of governance, if we must deliver on electoral contracts”, Badu said.

Welcoming the prominent stakeholders stated that the legislative otherwise known as the council is a body of people’s representatives elected to be the mouthpiece of their wards.

After the proclamation of the Twelve Legislative Council by Hon. Badu the Council Clerk pointed the legislators straight to business of the day which is nomination of the principal officers.

The leader of the council Hon. zakariyya bunu of last legislative were announce to maintain the seat, majority leader of the last legislative council, Hon. Modu wakil from Damaram Ward nominated, the immediate past Deputy leader of the Council, Hon.Hon Hassan Alh.Abba sulum from Ward Gajiram ward to retain his leadership post and it was seconded, making Hon. Alh.Tawaima to remain the new chief whip of Nganzai Legislative Council.

Other principal officers include Hon.konto lawan from Alarge ward (Deputy Deputy chief whip), Hon Aja lawan, Hon.Alh.Goni Gana kuda, Hon.Alh.massa jigalta, Hon. Hauwa bukar Badu were all actively involved in the nomination of the principal officers.
