The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has made a significant contribution to the Millionaires Quarters community through the installation of solar streetlights.
This achievement was made possible through the timely intervention of Hon. Kadri Rahis, who brought the matter to the attention of the Commission.

His commitment to community development is truly commendable. The new solar streetlights will not only enhance security but also improve the overall quality of life for residents of Millionaires Quarters under the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.

As grateful beneficiaries, we sincerely appreciate this gesture and call on both the State Government and the Federal Government to continue supporting initiatives that promote safety, development, and wellbeing across our communities.

We regret to inform the general public of the passing of the wife of Abubakar Alhajj Goni, who departed this life on the night of 21st August, 2025.

The funeral prayer (Janazah) will be held on Friday, 22nd August, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Millionaires Quarters, Maiduguri.

May Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Jannatul Firdaus, and give the family the strength to bear this loss. Ameen.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajiun. The death of Borno's prominent elder, Baa Galadima Modu Sheriff, a leader of our people by moral conduct has saddened us today.

May Allah expiate any misdeeds and shortcomings, provide him with light in his grave, shade him on the day of qiyama, protect and giude his offspring and descendan. May the guidance and goodness he left behind for our generation and those to come count as towards the charity he left behind.

Our condolences to his wives, children, extended family members , people of Gamboru millionaires quarters and the entire people of BORNO State. May Allah give us the strength to bear this loss. Ameen.
