🤦 Betrayal 🤦.

Chapter ten..

Jerry was watching a movie when a knock landed at the door.
"Come in" He replied, the door swanged open and a young handsome guy walked in.
"Good day to you" Dave greeted and Jerry stood up.
"Yeah, and to you too, what can I do for you?" Jerry asked
"Am Dave, looking for Maureen, I don't know if this is the right address" Dave explained still standing, Jerry couldn't even offer him a sit, so Dave walked over to the nearest sofa and sat. Jerry wasn't happy, what he hates most is men coming to look for her sister.
"What can she do for you?"
"Its something to be discussed privately, not to be said to anyone" Dave said.
"Nothing about Maureen is meant to be a secret from me, so leave"
"Excuse me" Dave asked with shock.
" You heard me clear, get out of here or I will do something terrible" Jerry threatened and Dave laughed.
"You honestly can't do nothing, do you know who I...." And a punch landed on his face, he wasn't expecting that, the punch came unexpected as it sent Dave to the floor instantly, Jerry bounced on him and started punching him all over, then Maureen came back from the market, she threw the stuffs she bought away when she saw her brother on top of Dave.
"Oh my goodness" she yelled and pushed Jerry away from Dave. He was seriously bleeding now, Maureen felt so hurt and buttered, she moved closer to Dave to apologize but Jerry dragged her away into the bedroom.
"What have you done" Maureen asked weeping.
"I was trying to protect my sis from some kind of as****es" Jerry replied boiling with rage.
" You are such a dick" Maureen yelled at him and made to Leave, he dragged her back and landed a slap across her face. Maureen couldn't believe what just happened, that was the first time her brother ever raised his hands on her, she was speechless as she stood staring at Jerry with tears in her eyes, Jerry felt hurt seeing his sister cry, he never meant to hurt her but he couldn't control his anger, he couldn't believe his own sister can talk to him in that manner because of some strange guy. Maureen place her left hand on the cheek where the slap landed. Jerry bite his lower lips hard as he covered his face with his two palms in total sadness. He feels so hurt and bittered.
" Am sorry Maureen, I didn't mean to" he said calmly and sadly moving closer to touch her, Maureen swinged her hand away from his and muttered.
"I hate you" it sounded like a bomb to Jerry

Chapter Nine..

Dave was so excited immediately Joshua handed the number to him.
"You are indeed a friend"
"And here is the address, you know some girls can be so stubborn, incase she refused cooperating, then you will appear at her door step" Joshua explained.
"Wow, I never knew you were this smart" Dave said giving him a hug.
"I will take that insult as a compliment" Joshua replied and they both laughed.
"You know what? I was thinking of heading straight to her house instead of giving her a call, what do you think?" Dave asked
"Good idea" Joshua agreed with a nod.
" Are you coming with me or am going alone?" Dave asked and Joshua stared at him in a funny way.
"What?" Dave asked looking at himself.
"So you are heading to her house straight from here?" Joshua asked.
"Yes of course" Dave replied not understanding Joshua's point.
"Being bastardly rich is a disease, so you are going to win a girl's heart without a flower or gift?" He asked and Dave burst out laughing.
" Ops, pardon me, thanks for reminding me, you know I haven't done this before right? Come on let's keep going" .
"I will wait at home instead" Joshua said relaxing on the large sofa.
"Are you sure you are not coming?"
"Hundred percent sure" Joshua replied and Dave head out.
The driver hurriedly approached him.
"Don't worry, I will drive alone" he said to the driver and guards who also followed behind.
"Sir the town isn't a safe place for you to be driving alone" his chief guard pleaded.
"I will be fine" Dave replied collecting the keys from the driver.
"But your father will be......"
"I just said I will be fine" Dave replied and the guard bow.
"Pls master, permit me to go with you" the chief guard pleaded.
"I insist on driving alone, and if you insist on coming with me, then you are fired" .
"Am sorry master, drive safe" the chief guard apologize with a bow.
"I will" Dave got into the car and left to the supermarket to get a beautiful flower, he picked up a beautiful red rose flower with a golden necklace before heading to Maureen's house

Chapter Eight..

A week passed by, Maureen and Betty will be going back to school the following week. A horn was heard on Betty's gate and a car drove in. Joshua alighted from the car and head straight to the garden where Betty was having fun with her pet.
"Hey" Joshua greeted and sat down.
"Oh hi" Betty replied sitting upright, she removed her specs staring at Joshua keenly.
"I don't quite know you" she said and Joshua smiled.
"You don't expect to know everyone, I attended your party" Joshua said and she smiled.
"Oh okay, it was so crowdy so I don't think I recognize your face" she said in an appealing voice.
"Yeah, am Joshua, I came to get your friend's number if you don't mind"
"Maureen?" She asked.
"What a nice name she got" Joshua complimented without confirming if it was her or not.
"Are you in love with her" Betty asked and Joshua couldn't help but laugh.
"Is it forbidden?" He asked.
"No it isn't, well I was only being happy to hear that someone is falling for my friend" she said with a little blush.
"So are you indirectly telling me that she is single?" Joshua asked surprised, how can a beautiful girl like maureen be single? He thought.
"Yeah she is, she isn't the men type" Betty explained to Joshua.
" Which means I have no rival" Joshua nodded smiling seductively, he just lied to Betty, he wasn't the one going to date her, Dave is.
Betty scrolled down her down and called the number out for Joshua, she also gave him Maureen's address.
"Good luck, and please don't break my friend's heart" she warned in a rather funny way.
"I bet you, I won't try that s**t" he said and blew her a kiss.
"Enjoy the rest of your day" he said walking to his car.
"Yeah I will and you too" Betty replied with a smile, she was so happy for her friend.

Chapter seven.

Joshua sat watching his friend with wonders, he has never seen his friend act so crazy for a woman before, Despite the fact that Dave was bastardly rich, he wasn't the too women type.
"What if I say am in love with this particular lady?" Dave asked and Joshua scoffed.
"Then I will advise you to abstain from too much alcohol"
"Come on Josh, am being real here" Dave said in a pleading tone
"No you are not" Joshua replied almost immediately wagging his index finger at him. Dave looked at his friend for some minutes wondering why he can't take him serious for once. He picked up his wine and gulps down the whole drink then stood up, heaved a sign and started pacing around.
"Come on Dave, stop acting this way, that girl is a Stubborn brat, I mean who does that? Slapping the president's son to his face in front of everyone"
"Guards!!" Dave ignored Joshua and called out to his guards, they came in almost immediately.
"Get one of the cars ready" he instucted and they left.
"Going somewhere?" Joshua asked his friend that looks so troubled.
"Yeah, I want to go somewhere and think, some where far away from you" he replied heading out.
"You aren't going without me, you need advice from me," Joshua said following him behind.
"You are not being a friend enough, I will seek advice from my chief guard" Dave replied and the guard opened the car for him.
"Come on Dave, stop being dramatic, ok I will help you get her" Joshua said and got into the car even before Dave. He winked at him and ushers him in the car.
"Help me get her or get rid of her?" Dave asked also entering the car while the guard closed the door gently.
"Come on, I just said get her" Joshua spoke.
"I just said get her" Dave mimicked him and they both laughed.
"Take us to our favorite mall" Dave said to the driver and the car zoom out of the compound
