“I’m Kogi’s Governor-Elect,” Audu’s running mate, James Falake, writes INEC

The running mate to late Abubakar Audu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi State, has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare him governor elect.

James Faleke, in a November 26 letter to INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, insisted that under Section 187 of the 1999 Constitution, he was duly elected as deputy governor of Kogi State.
While expressing sadness over the demise of his principal, Abubakar Audu, the deputy governorship candidate said INEC had no right under the law to declare the election inconclusive.

He accused INEC of deliberately creating what he called “legal conundrum” and urged the APC not to be a party to the action.

In another letter to APC Chairman, John Oyegun, Mr. Faleke urged his party to distance itself from the “Greek Gift” being offered to it to nominate a new candidate for a planned supplementary election in 91 polling units

KOGI CENTRAL BACKS AUDU
By Amuda Dan Sulaiman Fab
Ebiras in central senatorial district of Kogi state, have today declared their total support for the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the November 21 gubernatorial election in the state, Prince Abubakar Audu.
The people who came out in their thousands, to receive the APC candidate, during the APC governorship zonal campaign rally in Kogi central, paralized commercial activities in the area.
The mammoth crowd was led by the duo of Hon. Abdullahi Bello, and former Senator Saliu Ohize.
Speaking unbehalf of the People, Hon. Abdullahi Bello said the People of central senatorial district have always been identified with political intergrity, who have never turn back on their promise.
According to Bello, the people of ebira land are more at home with governance of APC government under the leadership of Prince Audu in the state.
"We in the central believe in the leadership of the APC under Prince Abubakar Audu. We also believe that power shift is more realistic through Prince Audu after his four years tenure. Do not believe in what the other side are telling you ooo, they are just deceiving. Have they ever fulfil their promises to you," he asked.
Hon. Bello who was also the former Speaker of the kogi state House of Assembly, told the mammoth crowd at the venue, that the achievement recorded by Prince Audu as the then state governor, is yet to be equalled by over 13 years of PDP administration in the state.
The campaign rally witnessed thousands of PDP members from the zone who dumped their party for the APC.

BREAKING NEWS- ECHOCHO LAMBAST DEKINA, SAYING THEY BETRAYED HIM
In his yet unsuccessful journey into politics since 2009, the embattled former CEO of the defunct Afribank, Alh Jibrin Isah Echocho said the people of Dekina were behind his political travail.
Echocho stated this at the APC rally in Lokoja, Kogi state on the 8th of October, 2015.
In his words; "Dekina Ideal was the ideal I cherished so much. I gave all to promote that ideal. I risked my job to engage the people of Dekina but at the end, there is no family in Dekina that can deny my impact both in marriage and job opportunities but they betrayed me".
The incorrigible political Philistine went further to say that he has all the arsenal necessary to unseat the incumbent governor, Capt Idris Wada whom he said has failed to perform in his four years in office, which formed the base for his decamping from PDP to APC.
Reacting to Echocho's statement, a People's Democratic Party's leader from Dekina Local Government Area Who is also a diehard supporter of Echocho in PDP Mr Solomon described Echocho political history as colourless. He said Echocho lost his political ground not only on his lack of political tactics but Echocho lies like an eye witness.
In his words "I have been a supporter of Echocho political movement since 2011. He won the ticket and lose it in the second primary that brought in Capt Idris Wada, I and my group members from Dekina LGA refused to abandon him. Prior to this year's PDP primary, Echocho doesn't pick our calls. Only one person had access to a man who wanted to contest for a governor. The message we were getting was that Echocho was on top of the game at the national level which will guarantee him the ticket. This unfruitful game continues until the day of primary, Echocho called us together in Lokoja addressing us that he was disappointed by the people he relied on for the ticket as his list could not scale through. I asked him what he wanted us to do at that point, Echocho said we should visit delegates in their respective hotels and appeal to them to vote for him. I expressed our collective grievance and told Echocho that it's politically impossible to change the minds of the delegates at that crucial point, asking him not to even go to the primary ground. Echocho went and we all know the out come of the primary".
His statement that Dekina betrayed him was a sheer jejune political polyphony, Echocho doesn't even trust himself, one of the major reasons that sent him into his current political oblivion. Echocho caused political divides amongst Dekina sons and daughters for his greed and power mongering and his exit from the PDP, if you ask me was the best for Dekina unity-Mr Solomon.
You may recall that Alhaji Jibrin Echocho contested for the governorship ticket on the platform of the People's Democratic Party and lost twice to the incumbent governor, Capt Idris Wada.

My dear Kogites,
Today, I had the pleasure of receiving into our great party the APC (All Progressives Congress) worthy and accomplished politicians, Alhaji Jibril Isah Echocho and Hon. Mohammed Idris and other great and noble men and women who have as a matter of necessity rejected the the umbrella party to embrace change. Indeed change is inevitable!
Your decision to reject the party that has for the past thirteen years brought untold hardship and underdevelopment to our dear state is a noble one. I assure you all that you will not regret your action today. Be assured of a level playing ground and equal opportunities in our great party the APC.
Our collective vision for a new Kogi is by every second of the day getting the needed boost. We shall not rest on our oars. We will keep pushing until we give PDP the biggest defeat of all times. By God's grace it is a fait acompli.
I thank all party men and women for coming out enmasse to witness this defecting ceremony.
I believe that an industrialized Kogi is possible!
I believe that our once beautiful confluence city will be the envy of the entire north.
I believe a new Kogi is possible!
Kogi state will be great again!
May Allah the most gracious and merciful bless you all.
- Prince A Audu.

I will not be a fool like Idris Wada, when the state don't have resources & still paying minimum wage & relativity to civil servants.

I if elected i will reserve money for development of the state, because i will pleaded with the civil servants to let manage our old take home pay for 6 months.

STAGING AN ANTI TINUBU AND BUHARI PROTEST IS LIKE STAGING AN ANTI BETTER NIGERIA PROTEST ELSE NIGERIANS WILL STAND FINALLY AGAINST THE MASTER MINDERS_Comr. Akanbi A. S (afonja)

Foremost, I want to appreciate all those who truly believe in the leadership ideologies of CHANGE.

Indeed we are all witnessing the CHANGE we laboured for.

Our electricity has improved, Fuel Scarcity with Price Exploitation are no longer tolerated.

Leadership Sincerity is coming back to life

The law interpreters are getting more active and sincere everyday.

The honour and respect our dear country deserved among the international communities is gradually coming back to it place.

Our democracy is beginning to work in line with the Rule of Law while other sectors reformation is ongoing.

MY CONCERN

My concern is on this ongoing boiling issue between our Senate President, the CCT and the proposed base less protest.

The news around is that some gbemulistic elements are planing a protest against the DIRECTORS OF CHANGE, President Mohammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tell me on what bases?

The fact is Nigerians can do anything to protect this two Change pilot without even been paid.

If already you have signed a financial compensation MOU with the protest brain box and engine room, pls kindly go and terminate your understanding and agreement cos without any single doubt, I am very sure Nigerians are ready to stage a massive protest against your base less protest voluntarily without been paid.

Nigerians are wiser now, what they said is not possible for 16 years are now beginning to be possible under this CHANGE ERA.

For those Nigeria Student Leaders who believe following the path of irregularities and desperation acts is the best for them, well, I am sorry for your future.

I was once a national media and publicity committee member of NANS under Comr. Bashir Babale who is now an House of Reps member from Kano State it was never like this, instead things were done diplomatically and reasonably to maintain the integrity of the Nigeria Student and to support the government in terms of maintaining the law and order of the land.

I want you all to know that this heroic living legends (BUHARI and TINUBU) no longer have time for themselves talk less of winch hunting anyone.

Their commitments and thinking is always on the success of this administration.
They never wishes anyone bad cause such is not part of their leadership ideologies.

If the best you can reward this two great men with is by planing their down fall, Lolzzz instead, the plans will always reversed back to the planners.

TINUBU and BUHARI are God sent to truly rescue this land, therefore going against them is like going against God's will, building their down fall is like planing to destroy a gift of nature from God.

BOLA AHMED TINUBU and MOHAMMADU BUHARI are the men of the moment... let's accord them with all honours and respect.

A TALE OF TWO LEADERS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AUDU AND WADA'S TENURE
By Abdulhakeem Idris
The Kogi state gubernatorial election is scheduled to hold in November. With polls being just weeks away, it is important to compare the two major contestants, namely Prince Abubakar Audu of the APC, and the incumbent governor, Idris Wada of the PDP. The fact that both have had a chance at governing the state makes it easier to analyse each objectively; Audu was governor from 1999-2003, and Wada’s four year term is nearing completion.
In light of this, one could say that they have both had the same amount of time in the current democratic dispensation to prove their mettle, and that each candidate’s track record would greatly influence the choice of who the electorate choose. This comparative analysis will be done under six categories; infrastructure, tourism, job creation, disaster management, healthcare and education.
INFRASTRUCTURE;
One of the first things that Audu did during his tenure was to see to the construction of essential new roads and the upgrading of existing ones. In the many speeches he delivered during his term in office, he reiterated the importance of good roads in enhancing economic activities, and therefore, concentrated a lot of effort in this area. The Okene-Kabba road, the Ganaja road (which connects Lokoja and Kogi East), and the Ayingba-Odu road, among others, are legacies of his administration.
Unfortunately, this sentiment has not been shared by Idris Wada (and also was not shared by his immediate predecessor, Ibrahim Idris).
These roads have not been properly maintained and so glaring is his lack of interest in fixing this most basic infrastructure, that the road to his village – which goes through Odu Ofugo up to Okete – which was “upgraded” with red sand three years ago, has grown even worse due to erosion.
In the area of housing, while Audu constructed 1,500 housing units for civil servants in Lokoja, the state capital, Wada’s tenure has not embarked upon any such scheme or even hinted at any such initiative. It should be noted that Audu also constructed 500 other housing units for civil servants in both Anyingba and Kabba.
The importance of affordable housing cannot be over-emphasized and a leader who pays attention to the needs of the people and designs initiatives to surmount challenges should be commended for doing so.
TOURISM;
Many state governors in Nigeria seem to not care much for tourism and unlocking their state’s potentials. This fully applies to Idris Wada as his administration has made no moves whatsoever in improving tourism in the state. Audu, on the other hand, oversaw the construction of the Confluence Hotel and also ordered the preservation of the Ofejiji waterfall, among others.
JOB CREATION;
This is one area where Audu’s credentials as an established professional and businessman greatly improved the lot of his people. Through his business connections, he was able to attract great investments to the state, including the Dangote Cement Factory at Obajana, and the commissioning of the Geregu Power Plant.
Despite the mineral deposits in literally every corner of Kogi state, the last four years have been atrocious in terms of attracting investment. Wada has been terribly inactive in this regard and till this day, the people often speak of the caliber of investors that Audu was able to attract to the state.
Going by their track records, if one had to choose the leader who would guarantee job creation, from the aforementioned, it would again be Audu.
DISASTER MANAGEMENT;
In 2012, flooding displaced thousands of Kogi residents from their homes. In response to their plight, a fund of N2billion was provided for the construction of new housing units in which these citizens could be resettled. No such thing happened.
The issue generated so much controversy that the Daily Independent, a Nigerian newspaper, summed it up thus; "Despite the amount of N2 billion raised for that purpose, the state government is yet to complete the housing project for the victims scattered across nine local government areas of the state. Many of the victims are still displaced and still seeking for assistance".
This dwells not only on ineffective disaster management, but a general lack of accountability. Funds were provided for resettling victims of flooding but till this day, the housing units have not been built and no one can even say for certain that the state government has a database of those who need to be resettled.
Although there was no natural disaster to manage during Audu’s tenure, he managed the infrastructural disaster quite well and is no stranger to providing housing units to those who require them. The thousands of units his administration provided testify to this.
HEALTHCARE;
Abubakar Audu is credited with the provision of well-equipped hospitals and health centres across the state. He also introduced a primary healthcare scheme specifically targeted at pregnant women which was charged with the responsibility of providing prompt services at centres situated in all communities across Kogi. This saw a resultant improvement in maternal health and a drastic reduction in maternal mortality.
In this regard, the Specialist Hospital, Lokoja was reportedly upgraded during Wada’s tenure, but not much else can be listed in his favour in this category. In light of all these facts, it is glaring, once more, that Audu did more than Wada within the same period of time in healthcare.
EDUCATION
Qualitative education is the bedrock of a meaningful future, and it would not be an exaggeration to state that a leader who does not value education is no leader at all.
Wada’s tenure has the following achievements in education; cancellation of the payment of WAEC fees, owing teachers their salaries for the past eight months, allowing school buildings fall apart and failing to equip schools across the state.
On the other hand, it was during Audu’s tenure that a university and polytechnics were built, and all adequately equipped. Also, no teachers or lecturers were owed salaries.
He supervised the renovation of primary and secondary schools in the state, built new classroom blocks, hired more teachers and effectively revamped the educational sector in Kogi state.
The university built during his administration was then ranked among the top universities in the country but this tradition of excellence has not been maintained.
Again, if one had to choose between the two based on who possesses a higher capacity to deliver on education, it would be Audu.
Conclusion
Facts speak for themselves. It is a good thing that the two major candidates have had a chance to prove their mettle as this would enable the populace choose the candidate with a proven ability to deliver.
In light of all the facts that have been stated, it is obvious that the more qualified candidate is Prince Abubakar Audu, and one can only hope that the people of Kogi state make an informed choice.

WADA PAID N354,500,000 MILLION TO 709 DELEGATE.
:
By Comrade Adamu Babalauya
:
The PDP will never accept the fact, that wada bribed each delegate with five hundred thousand Nigerian Naira (N500,000).
You can imagine that, at this point in time where LG wokers have not been paid for over 20 month under the watch of our Black and White Governor, he still unconstitutionaly buy the delegate with our money.
Announcing the results, the returning officer, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State
declared that Wada scored 709 votes which shows that he paid the 709 delegate N500,000.
Let do simple calculation on this.
N500,000 * 709 = N354,500,000 million. With this i urge all well meaning citizens of Kogi to vote wisely.

2015:

WE HAVE CARRIED BOTH OIL AND WATER- NOW WE CAN MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE
The worse of PRINCE AUDU(he is proud and arrogant) is FAR BETTER than the best of WADA(only campaign point is he paid salary to june without 3yrs of leave bonus ) while the former is tested and trusted when it comes to delivery of much needed dividends of democracy. He is a performer, innovator of all visible existing infrastructures in the state, the later is an abysmal failure, a rat race half wit governor who thought good governance ends with payment of salaries of workers that constitute less than 1% of the population while the 99% can wallow in poverty. It is a big shame to note that the capital city stinks like graveyard. No functioning streetlights even in the street leading to governors lodge. How do one begin to campaign for wada's return? On what basis, what parameter, what projects, initiatives or manifestoes ?

Vote APC!!!!! Vote for change!!!
