OLU-ADDE OF EKINRIN-ADDE WELCOMES FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA

HRM, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu. CON. The Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde has warmly welcomed students and academic staff of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Federal University Lokoja, to Ekinrin-Adde for their 2026 Linguistics Field Trip.

The three-day visit, themed “A Field Study of Language, Culture and Society,” will focus on the study and documentation of the community’s language, culture, traditions and way of life.

The Olu-Adde expressed delight at hosting the academic team and urged the people of Ekinrin-Adde to extend their usual warmth and hospitality to the visitors.

ROYAL VISIT AND PRESENTATION OF AWARD OF RECOGNITION

His Royal Majesty, Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, CON, the Olu-Ade of Ekinrin-Adde, graciously paid a royal visit to the residence of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke the Arole Ekinrin-Adde.

During the visit, His Royal Majesty presented an Award of Recognition in appreciation of the recipient’s selfless service, unwavering commitment, and remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu Local Government Area.

The Palace commends Hon, James Abiodun Faleke for this well-deserved honour and expresses confidence that this recognition will inspire even greater service to humanity and the community.

One question kept coming up after the ultra-classic 60th Birthday celebration of HRM, Olori Bridget Fehintola Idowu:

“Was this event really held in Ekinrin-Adde?”

HRM, Oba Kolade Johnson Otitoju, answered that question perfectly during his speech when he declared:

“This is not Ikorodu. This is not Ikeja. This is Ekinrin-Adde.”

The answer is a resounding YES!

This remarkable celebration was proudly hosted in the beautiful mini city of Ekinrin-Adde, once again proving that excellence is not defined by location.
