Our Story

ODARA FOUNDATION was created FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT), for promoting healthy lifestyles , empowerment, reducing poverty, and providing economic opportunities in Nigeria and elsewhere in collaboration with like-minded persons and organizations

In furtherance of the purposes hereinbefore defined, the objects of the Association are as follows:

a. To promote the care, well-being physical and mental development of people through wellness programs for old people, pregnant women and children which aims to create an atmosphere of healthy living

b. To support education facilities such as Libraries and Laboratories for all primary, secondary, tertiary schools and adult education and other literary services with the aim of creating awareness and consciousness among the people

c. To create Parks and Forest for the purpose of reservation, to plant 500,000 trees yearly

d. To support organization of co-operative service societies, multipurpose cooperative societies, marketing co-organization etc. this aims at securing peoples participation in economic empowerment

e. To provide counseling, educational and vocational skills training for unemployed individuals in the community to solve the problem of unemployment in rural areas

f. To promote proactive environmental culture to prevent and safeguard against flood, environmental sanitation, and the use of plastic bags to sell

g. To create awareness about Shea trees, Carob Trees and Hardwood Trees

h. To facilitate after school hours programs for young people so as to encourage extracurricular activities and discourage them from engaging in social vices

i. To procure to be written and print, publish, issue and circulate gratuitously or otherwise any reports or periodicals, books, pamphlets, leaflets or other documents for the purpose of enhancing awareness and focus on Securities issues within the community, Food safety, Fake Drugs, Drugs Abuse, Tree Planting and Deforestation, Road safety and Safety within the homes

j. To obtain, collect and receive money and funds by way of contributions, donations, legacies, grants and any other lawful method, and accept and receive gifts of property of any description whether subject to any special trusts or not, in order to carry out the foregoing objectives.
