AOA HOSTS 2026 BUDGET STAKEHOLDERS’ FORUM
The Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi (AOA), today hosted the Year 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Forum at the Council Secretariat.
The forum brought together residents, ward representatives, captains of industry, CDC/CDA members, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders across the LCDA. The interactive session provided an avenue for participants to present their community needs and contributions toward the 2026 fiscal planning process.
Discussions at the forum focused on key developmental priorities such as infrastructure improvement, enhanced healthcare services, rehabilitation of roads, provision of boreholes, job creation, youth empowerment, and skills acquisition — all aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
In her opening remarks, Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi (AOA) reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to participatory governance, transparency, and community development guided by the A.C.H.I.E.V.E.S. Blueprint.
She noted that, “Our administration remains resolute in promoting inclusive governance and accountability. Despite the achievements within our first 100 days in office, we are determined to accelerate progress and move into top gear for greater impact.”
AOA also appealed to residents and business operators to ensure prompt payment of their levies and local government revenues to strengthen service delivery across all sectors.
In his goodwill message, Apex Leader, Pharm. Abayomi Daramola, commended the administration’s proactive approach to inclusive planning, assuring that “priority consideration will be given to the various requests and submissions from stakeholders.” He further emphasized the need for all cooperate organizations in Victoria island to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligation to the LCDA and called on security agencies to intensify efforts in addressing the menace of drug abuse within the community.
