I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating His Excellency, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, as he marks his 60th birthday.

From serving as the Governor Borno to his current role as vice president, Senator Shettima has remained a model of courage, diligence, and uncommon devotion to public service.

His wealth of experience, demonstrated capacity, deep wisdom, and steadfast commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have contributed immensely to the work of rebuilding our economy and delivering prosperity to our people.

As he marks this significant milestone, I pray that Almighty God continues to bless him with sound health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of service to our great nation.

It was a pleasure to represent our Deputy Governor and Governorship Candidate, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, at the ceremonial tee-off of the Leadership Cup 2026.

The theme, “From Corporate Governance to the Greens,” is a reminder that leadership, like golf, requires discipline, strategy, resilience, and the courage to take the next shot.

Every swing is an opportunity to learn, every setback is a chance to grow, and every challenge is an invitation to become better.

I commend the Lagos State Golf Association and Ikoyi Club 1938 for creating a platform that promotes sport, leadership, enterprise, and opportunity.

Today, I joined the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government to commemorate one year in office of the chairman, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, with his executive members and to participate in the commissioning of several landmark projects.

From the construction of Oluwa Street Road to the rehabilitation of the Oluwa Nursery and Primary School and three solar-powered boreholes across Wards B, H, and I, among others, the commissioned projects reflect a clear commitment to responsive and people-centred governance.

I commend Hon. Olalekan Akindipe for his purposeful leadership, which continues to deliver democratic dividends to the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun.
