Yesterday at Plenary session, issues bordering on the High cost of living and the hardship being faced by Nigerians and Lagosians was brought to floor of the House.

At this point in time, it is important for the government to come up with and initiate policies that will hit directly on the masses one of which should be the immediate subvention of Transportation ( Rail, BRT, Boats, Public transportation) by reducing the cost of transportation and this should be administered immediately in my opinion.

In the health sector, there is the need to subvent the Ministry of Health and subsidize medical Supplies, medications, hospital service bills especially for the old, aged and pregnant women. The Primary Helath care facilities should be stocked and restocked with medical supplies to cater for the immediate needs of people at the ward level.

Agricultural produce also be subsidized for purchase. Farming equipments and implements such as Ferlilzers , tractors, feeds and so on should be given to serious farmers who need help in increasing their daily produce. These are immediate wins for the government while they prepare for a long term and lasting solutions.

At this point in time I would want to plead with the entire populace in Nigeria most especially the people of Lagos state and ifako Ijaiue in particular to continue to exercise patience with this administration.. Nothing good comes easy and both bad lasts forever.

Nigeria will rise above this hard times..

As part of the Ongoing Visit to China with H.E Gov Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and in line with the House Standing rules and Orders saddled with the responsibility of Oversight as the chairman House Committee on Transportation under the able leadership of the Speaker RT. Hon. we visited the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation CRRC in Dalian China.

In the discussions, Gov. Sanwoolu emphasized that the government will deliver additional rolling stocks in December to the people and Citizens of Lagos State and also hinted that His Excellency Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is billed to flag off Red Line soon.

I, alongside the Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday visited the headquarters of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation in Dalian, China where he went to conclude transactional conversations with the top management of the company, on the purchase of rolling stock for the Blue and Red rail lines in the State.

In line with the Lagos State Transport Sector law which was passed into law by the House of Assembly in 2022 and Mr Governor’s Traffic Management and Transportation, which is the first pillar of the THEMES+ developmental agenda, the government is bent on reducing the traffic congestions to its nearest minimal there by reducing travel time for Lagosians and those Visiting the state.

The Governor charged the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, who delivered those of the Blue Line train to deliver additional rolling stock for the Red and Blue lines before the end of the year.

The CRRC Company in response expressed their eagerness to work and deliver the trains for the use of Lagosians before the end of the calendar year.

As the Chairman House committee on Transportation at the most prestigious House of Assembly in Nigeria, The Lagos State House of Assembly, I had the privilege under the leadership of Rt. Hon Mudashiru OBASA to embark on a working Visit to CCECC HEAD QUARTERS in China 🇨🇳 with H.E Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.

It was indeed a fruitful deliberation as Mr. Governor announced that the Red Line Rail project covering Agbado to Otto is ready for commissioning.

This significant milestone is a testament to our commitment to enhancing transportation for millions of Lagos residents as said by Mr. Governor.

During a productive meeting with the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation in Beijing, he reiterated his dedication to completing the Blue Line Rail project’s second phase.

This trip was important to meet with the leadership and finalise our plans for an integrated system that will work for Lagosians as we commit them to a long term partnership.

Also discussions pertaining to the 4th Mainland Bridge, the Secnf Phase of the Blue line, Resline, Lekki Airport, Epe Bridge and many other project were tabled and it is certain that these project will kick off soon.

Worthy of note is that HE President Bola Tinubu has agreed to grace the occasion heralding the launch of the Red Line Rail for commercial operations.

The Lagos state house of Assembly under the Leadership of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru OBASA will continue to work with the executive to ensure that the dividends of Democracy will get to the people of Lagos and for us all and that’s a promise we intend to keep fulfilling.

In an atmosphere of praise, singing, dancing and appreciation to God almighty for a peaceful, prosperous and successful year 2023 and for ushering us all into a new year with joy and good news already pouring in, Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji OON JP, hosted the entire leadership of the Christian faith through the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ifako-Ijaiye ably led by Messenger Pro (Dr.) Olubode Sobukola JP; the political class ably led by the Party Chairman, Deacon Banjo Omole and the community led by the CDC Chairman, Pastor Samuel Opajobi.

The CAN Chairman, Messenger Sobukola in his sermon said gratitude is the key to altitude. As a people, family, group, community or government, we must always maintain an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving to our creator.

Deacon Banjo Omole, APC Party Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye shared the benefits of prayers, praising God and thanksgiving. He said Ifako-Ijaiye has been preserved by the mercies and faithfulness of the almighty God. He enjoined everyone to emulate King David in the bible, who regardless of his high title, still maintained an unparalleled access to thanksgiving before God.

Hon. Adewale assured everyone that 2024 has started well and many more infrastructural, health, welfare, education and social impacts would be done this new year. He assured that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu would be visiting Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 to commission several projects for the good of the people. He, however, charged the people to seek peace by all means. Conflicts are normal but through dialogue, negotiation and compromise, we all can agree for the good of the land.

In my journey through political life I have learnt that the most important aspect to any legislator is to Represent those that have Voted us in office.

As a law maker our first and primary responsibility is to give quality representation to the people in our Local Governments and by extension to the state.

Representation will also include facilitating of Infrastructural facilities , Basic amenities and Social welfare Project.

This has been my core values and we will continue to bring democracy and it’s dividends closer to the people..
