ICSAN FAST TRACK TO MEMBERSHIP
A Brief Overview
The ICSAN Fast Track to Membership is a specially designed pathway for accomplished professionals seeking to attain the prestigious Chartered Secretary qualification through an accelerated route. The programme provides a unique opportunity for distinguished professionals with substantial experience to acquire globally recognised professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), following intensive training and successful completion of the prescribed examination.
Successful participants will be admitted into one of the world's leading professional bodies for governance practitioners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent and satisfy any one of the following requirements:
a. Company Secretaries with at least 15 years' cognate experience in company secretarial practice and corporate governance.
b. Chairmen, Secretaries and Members of the Boards of Public Sector Organisations.
c. Public/Civil Servants who:
are not below the rank of Deputy Director and have served for a minimum of 10 years in senior management positions.
d. Senior Military, Police and Paramilitary Officers from the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or its equivalent in the other services.
e. Senior Lecturers in Corporate Governance, Law, Accounting, Management Sciences, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
f. Legal Practitioners and In-house Legal Advisers with at least 15 years' post-call professional experience.
g. Bankers, Accountants and holders of other relevant qualifications with a minimum of 20 years' relevant experience at senior management level.
h. Directors and Senior Management Executives with at least 15 years' management experience.
Programme Benefits
Successful applicants will enjoy substantial exemptions and following the mandatory training programme, will be required to sit only the prescribed core professional examinations before admission into membership.
