Traffic on Ikorodu Road will be diverted from 31st August, 2021 for 6 days
Ikeja’s Oduduwa Way and Oduduwa Crescent will be closed for six days, according to a statement released by the Lagos State Government on Monday.
The diversion which will start on August 31 is to allow for the construction of culverts that will channel stormwater towards the outfall across Agege Motor Road by Sogunle Bus Stop.

According to Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the state’s commissioner of transportation, alternate routes would be available to ease traffic during construction.
According to the statement, Oladeinde “said motorists coming from Ladipo to link Mobolaji Bank Anthony/Maryland should connect Works Road to Oba Akinjobi Way, take a left turn and connect Joel Ogunaike Street inwards Mobolaji Bank Anthony/Maryland to access their desired destinations.
From the Ladipo end of Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Oladeinde advised road users to connect Sowemimo Street to Mobolaji Bank Anthony/Maryland via Oladipo Bateye Street, and to connect Oba Akinjobi Way roundabout to Oba Dosumu Road to access Isaac John Street and turn right to Sobo Arbiodu or left to Mobolaji Bank Anthony/Maryland. “
To go to Sogunle/Agege Motor Road via Mobolaji Bank Anthony/Maryland, motorists need connect Isaac John Street and turn left to Sobo Arobiodu, through Sasegbon Street, to connect Oba Akinjobi Way and Works Road to get to Sogunle/Agege Motor Road.
According to Oladeinde, the continuous restoration of roadways infrastructure will increase car owners’ and road users’ mobility, reducing traffic congestion in Lagos.
