CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM DEACON JOSHUA DESINYON TAIWO ON THE PASSING OF *MRS ESTHER EBUNOLUWA OJELABI:*

On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Badagry, I extend my deepest condolences to the Chairman of Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi, on the unfortunate passing of his dear wife, Mrs. Ebunoluwa Esther Ojelabi.

Losing a loved one, especially a life partner is an immeasurable pain. Mrs. Ojelabi was a strong, loving, and compassionate woman who stood as a pillar of support to her family and the community. Her legacy of kindness and care will continue to live on.

During this difficult time, I pray that God gives you and your family the strength and comfort to navigate this period of grief. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Dear Compatriots and Fellow Badagrians

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Starting out on a political journey can seem daunting but with a strong will, a commitment to good governance and the right mindset, the ideals of democracy which have been lost on us can be realized. These core ingredients are critical for any measurable effort at development.

There is an end goal in view which is to the government and people driven. There is a collective quest and desire to catch a glimpse and revel in silver linings which in turn require a demonstration of a commensurate and determined effort to navigate the tunnel. This presupposes that the call to duty is for everyone l.e, each citizen is a stakeholder in this journey of resuscitating our lost glory.

Governance at sub-national levels is an effective approach to set this purpose in motion. This has been the cardinal objective for the establishment of the local government system in Nigeria. The sole purpose is bringing democratic governance to the local citizens.

However, leadership gap has been the bane. This leadership conundrum has beyond impeding and truncating governance set us back in the little gains we have made over the years.

The urgent need to get back on course arises now more than ever. The collective will of the people is all that is required. The citizens long for the coordinated effort of strong institutions, efficient governance structure and individuals with a pedigree of accountability, transparency, fairness and responsibility.

As we resolve to buckle our shoes to embark on this milestone endeavor in our great Local Government Badagry, we are confident and assured to landmark successes as resources abound to start us on this journey of positive transformation through our functional structure, our talent and culture, our rich historical significance etc., which places us on a pedestal to fast track this objective.

I am a bonafide member of a progressive political party, The ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC). I have at various times led and mobilized credible party members to support competent individuals to occupy viable political offices and positions. These interventions have seen governance elevated to envious heights in our constituencies.

Further to that, I have served in many leadership capacities and rallied youths to take up their roles and step up to the plate in the scheme of things. My performance indices are testimonials of my competence, preparedness and capacity for a higher calling. The future belongs to the youth and there is no more auspicious time than now to feature in the big picture.

My desire to ameliorate the sufferings of the masses and the yearnings of the youth in my constituency to have a trusted hand to lead the affairs of governance, have further propelled me to get in the contest for the Badagry Local Government CHAIRMANSHIP seat in 2025 Local Government election of Lagos State Under the umbrella of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

I am a trained Public Administrator and seasoned Agriculturist. I also pride myself on specific skill set in fishery and crop farming, I have hands on experience garnered over the years, locally and internationally, having traversed far and near, within and other countries. I make bold to say, I AM THE MAN FOR THE JOB. I am convinced that with your undiluted support and belief in my ability, we can, together change the narrative indices of the largest black nation in the world.

My Good People of Badagry,

As we step into a new month, I am filled with hope and enthusiasm for the future of our beloved community. This period presents an opportunity for us to reflect on our collective journey and to renew our commitment to the progress and prosperity of Badagry.

I am honored to address you as a chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC). My aspiration to serve as your chairman stems from a deep-seated desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of our local government, to ensure that every voice is heard, and that every citizen benefits from the dividends of democracy.

Badagry is a land rich in culture, history, and potential. Our strengths lie in our diversity and our unity.
