.. Promise to mobilize massive votes for party candidates at the various polling units
As the 2023 general election gathers momentum, The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate local council development area, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira and the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council area, yesterday drummed support for the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
This was at the carnival-like TOWN-HALL/STAKEHOLDERS meeting held at the council secretariat, Airways Road, Ijesha. the meeting which was at the behest of the council chairman had in attendance party leaders, political office holders, artisans, market leaders and party faithfuls from all wards and zones of the council
Dr Apatira in his welcome address, opined that the meeting had become important to reaffirm the party's support for its candidates across all levels in the forthcoming general elections while also relaying the importance of the electoral success of the presidential candidate of the All progressives congress , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and other party candidates to members of the party.
According to the council boss, the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu deeply appreciates party members for their support and for ensuring that peace reigned supreme while buttressing the importance of Asiwaju's emergence with a long list of people-centric initiatives and policies credited to the party chieftain that are set to enjoy improved credence upon his victory at the 2023 polls.
Dr Apatira while urging party faithfuls to remain steadfast in their unflinching quest to ensure resounding victories for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Sanwo-Olu and other party candidates at 2023 general elections as it would bring more dividends of democracy closer to the people which is one of the programs and policies of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
He however assured that the victory of all APC candidates at the general elections will ensure more people oriented infrastructural projects that will be of great benefit to the citizens while echoing that PVCs are now ready for collection at the designated collection centers in the various communities, urging residents to go and pick their PVCs.
In his remarks, the All Progressives Congress Apex leader in Surulere, Chief D O Adenekan tasked members to be prepared for the big assignment coming ahead. He also advised all party members to jointly work together with all relevant stakeholders in their various wards for the victory of all APC candidates .
The Director General of the Surulere Constituency 2 Joint Task Force for the 2023 general elections, Hon. Agboola Dabiri in his goodwill message thanked all the leaders and members of the party in Itire-Ikate for the unity and harmony among party faithfuls. He posited that the coming election is not about group or caucus but about the success of the party and its candidates.
He further appreciated party members who trooped out en-masse for their steadfastness, commitment and support towards the party cause.
Other party leaders who took turns to address the gathering reiterated that a lot of people irrespective of age, religion and gender had benefited immensely from the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the lagos state governor, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu noting that members should endeavour to mobilize their friends, families and associates to vote massively for the candidates of the party
They also promised that Itire-Ikate LCDA is fully in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Presidential Ambition because he is the most sellable candidate among those aspiring for the exalted office of the President.
