*LAGOS MAINLAND CHAIRMAN, EMILAGBA, SWEARS IN NEW SUPERVISORS AND SPECIAL ADVISERS*
In a significant move to strengthen governance and accelerate grassroots development, the Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, has officially inaugurated a new set of Supervisors and Special Advisers. The swearing-in ceremony was held on Friday, 24 April 2026, at the Council Conference Hall.
Describing the occasion as a pivotal moment in the administration of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Emilagba stated that the newly appointed officials would play a vital role in enhancing service delivery and bringing governance closer to the people.
The Chairman congratulated the appointees, noting that their selection was based strictly on merit, competence, integrity, and a proven commitment to public service. He expressed confidence that their wealth of experience and expertise would greatly advance the developmental agenda of the Council.
Speaking at the event, the Council Manager, Mr. Ojikutu Moriu Oluwafemi, expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman for his unwavering commitment to service and good governance. He urged the newly inaugurated officials to uphold confidentiality, remain loyal to the principles of good governance, and avoid actions that could undermine the administration.
He further encouraged them to always seek constructive solutions that would promote progress and move Lagos Mainland Local Government to greater heights.
The newly inaugurated Supervisors and Special Advisers are: Ayimora Bunmi, Allah-De Ahmed, Adio Waliu, Kadiri Fatai, Afisi Ishola, Ogunbabi Latif, Tajudeen Bello, Jones Abiodun Olatunji, Abdulrahim Ibrahim, and Opeoluwa Moshood.
They took their Oath of Office, administered by the Council's Legal Officer, Barrister Mrs. Lawrence Priscilia Isoken.
In his charge to the new appointees, Mayor Emilagba reiterated the core values of his administration, which include inclusive governance, transparency, and accountability. He emphasized that his administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy for division, rancour, or personal interests capable of derailing collective progress.
"We must work as a united team, driven by innovation, discipline, and a singular focus on productivity," Mayor Emilagba stated.
He urged the appointees to align fully with the administration's policy direction, which prioritizes efficient service delivery, grassroots empowerment, and the overall welfare of the people of Lagos Mainland.
Mayor Emilagba concluded by assuring the new officials of his full support as theassumedme their responsibiliti , while encouraging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to service, accountability, and the collective development of Lagos Mainland.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of his colleagues, Hon. Allah-De Ahmed pledged the unwavering support of the newly inaugurated officials to the administration's vision of a greater Lagos Mainland.
