Episode three

" and someone brought this.." The doctor said, I looked at him
He deeped his hand into his coat.
He brought out and pointed it to me
I looked at the card and at him
" who? "

" one of the guards and he said....." He breathed.

" hm " I said

" he said it was from your father.." He said and I smiled painfully.
I tried taking it but my hand didn't move.
He smiled. " you have to start learning to use your left hand, me Brandon" he said smiling.
I took it and dropped it on the bed.

" he couldn't visit.." I said and the doctor nodded.
I wiped my tears.
" thank you "I said and the doctor left

I looked at the card, my tears falling.
Dad, what am I to you?
Am I that worthless and useless.
Do you even think of me?
How have been since my tender age, do you?
I cried more.
I wish mom was here

I looked at the card
The same cards he sent every month since my childhood.
I managed to open them and instead of seeing the normal letter, I saw something else
An eye glass
It was black and has this shiny touch
I brought out the glasses and quietly watched it
I wonder what he thought when he sent this.
I smiled and dropped them by the bed side.

Is this what I mean to you dad.
I smiled with my tears.


K p.o.v

It's been two weeks now since I came to Florida after my last meeting.
Yet I still haven't got a lead on agent B4, the lady I was tracking for weeks later turn out not to be her.
So frustrating.
I even managed to keep a tab on Mr Neolstein by tracking his movement but still no signs of her around him.
I had to lie to the organization about vacation to come here otherwise it won't be authorized

I am here again at this coffee shop watching the lady.
I met her some days ago and managed to keep track of her
She is just as tall as Sarah and has the same black hair and sexy figure
Although she's not a pretty as I assume her to be but shes okay.
I learned she works at the Neolstein pharmaceutical, something Sarah would do
I also checked her records and I found she's actually new in Florida giving me a 78% high probability that shes Sarah.

But still am not sure.
I want to be 109 percent sure if she's truly who am after.

I watch her stood from her table and walked out.
I quietly followed
I can't afford to lose her

Jesse p.o.v

I rushed over to the hospital
I ran into his room.
I shed tears on seeing him and he smiled

" thank you Jesse." He said and I felt warm inside.

I slowly walked to him
" did you finally caught the bad guys." He said and I laughed.

" no ,I failed this time again " I said and he nodded.

" and sir we found this." I said and brought out the wristband.

" and this is the only thing we finally to get on the killer, am sorry I couldn't protect you." I said and we both smiled.

I noticed him tried moving
" anything wrong sir" I asked
"Uhm no, I forgot my right hand is paralyzed, it's okay." He said and my tears dropped.

I was still holding the band.

" wait there, don't cry please, it's only momentary, it's be gone after some months okay" he said and looked at his face that was when I notice he was trying to hold his tears.

" sir! " I called and he nodded smiling.

He used his left hand to collect it and he closely watched it.

" B4...." He turned to me
" what's B4.." He asked
" we don't know ,there's nothing of such on the net, its like it never existed " I smiled.

He dropped them back on my hand..

" can I ask you something " he stared and I nodded

" do you think am worthless, like am a waste " he said and my mouth opened

" no oh, no oh, why would I, you are honestly the best man I know" I said and he laughed.

" okay. Thank you " he said and looked out the window.

" you're here, miss Jesse " the doctor smiled as he came in.

I smiled and faced him.

" thank you Dr Benny, when will he be discharged" I asked and stared at Zane.

" tomorrow I can assure you and I'll like to see you in private about something" he said.

We both moved to the door
" the truth is the poison didn't paralyze him but his feelings did, our results shows that his paralysis is caused by stress or emotional trauma he's currently suffering, he's clearly depressed and that's not helping because there's a 40 percent possibility that the paralysis cant be cured if he continues that way." He said and I let out a hit breath.

" the only remedy is to make him happy, don't let him think about his past or pained life, just make him comfortable with himself and that's it and the paralysis would rapidly be cured depending on how soon he's taking himself out of his sad shell.." He said and i nodded
I didn't even know my tears was dropping.

hasn't he had enough already? And now this?..

" okay, thank you doc, I'll see to it.." I said and we both walked back in.

I walked over, the doctor left.
" Doc said you'll be getting discharged tomorrow" j smiled and he smiled back, his pretty teeth showed.

The doctor words rang in my head
“ he's clearly depressed and that's not helping because there's a 40 percent possibility that the paralysis cant be cured if he continues that way. ”

I smiled back in pain.
He was still smiling
I held my tears hard

" I have to go now." I said and left his hand.

I quickly ran out and started crying hard.
I could feel the pain he felt
And it made my heart heavy
I cried more

I went back to the mansion


Rex p.o.v

IN A DARK ROOM, THE NOVA SECRET BASE

I walked in and stood facing the boss.

I bowed.

" Any news from Agent B4?.."his voice echoed in my ears

I raised my head fearfully.
" no sir, we haven't got anything back from her " I said in a haste.

" should we fall in to help" I added

" haha ha Rex, you of all Nova members should know this, we don't interrupt sensitive missions " he quietly said and I shivered
" am sorry sir for being too forward, forgive me " I hurried
" I only thought she might not be able to carefully handle the mission since she's a woman, I can handle the mission much more better boss"i said.

I looked at him, his mask
" it was my task boss but you gave it to her " I almost shouted.

I heard him smile
" and you failed..." He said

" if only I was given a little more time, I would have completed everything"i said back.

" yes and your stupidness only made him extra conscious of us." He said

" please just give me one more chance to prove myself, please" I said and fell on my knees.

" you forgot our code Rex, There's no redemption in Nova and no forgiveness " he said and assassins marched in.

My eyes widened.
" please am sorry, please boss am sorry please" I begged as they held my hands

One of the assassin came out with his sword.
" no please, don't kill me , please " I said and I saw the boss nod.
Before I knew it, I felt the sword pierce me.
Ah
The pain suddenly came rushing.
I slowly opened my eyes
I felt my blood pour
I looked at the boss and smiled.
I saw my life as an assassin flash before my eyes
He pulled out his sword.
I fell to the floor.

I slowly opened my eyes and the last thing I saw was the boss bringing down his mask.
My eyes closed...

Chapter two

Jesse p.o.v

The guards already took him to the hospital
My tears dropped.
Isn't his life a pain already, why should anyone want to kill him?
Ever since his childhood,he had always been attacked by assassins and even now, they still want his life
I wonder what crime he did to deserve this life.
My face was full with tears.

I angrily walked into the museum.
Nobody was there, all the tourists left.
The guards already held the lady.
I walked to them and slapped her
The guards held her well

I took a gun from the guards and lay it on her head
" You ungrateful, what did he do to deserve this, tell me, what?! " I shouted in pain

She looked at me
" I. didn't kill Him...." she said and I laughed.

" You really want me to believe that, huh...... tell me what you were offered, money, houses, gold, just tell me Maya , tell me!!! "I screamed in tears

" Do you even know who he is?........." I stopped, dropping the gun to the floor
" Finally I get it ,the puzzle is fitting in, so you came here just to do this,you planned everything,framing as a painter so you could just kill him after helping him win many investors with your talent, I mean whoever stare at your painting would be in awe of how talented you are not knowing you hide a demon underneath.." I said pained

She kept quiet

I angrily punched her.
" Say something you bitch.. I screamed
She slowly looked up

" I don't want to hurt you, I said I didn't touch him,I didn't even know he was the CEO!!." she almost shouted

" Hurt me?? You mean kill me like you did to him." I shouted to her face.

Just then my phone rang
It was from the CEO's personal guard
I picked it
" How is him, is he alright, can I talk to him, is he okay?." I said,my eyes open.

" you can rest now miss Jesse,the CEO is safe and recovering well." He said and I let out a hot breath

" ah, thank you Lord" I breathed and stared at Maya,I saw something flash in her eyes.

" did the doctor said he was stabbed or what" I asked

" The doctor said that he was poisoned, he called it a name but I can't remember,he said it was a powerful poison that took exactly two hours before reaction..." He said and my eyes widened.

" Wait, that mean he had been poisoned before even coming to the museum.."

" Exactly , maybe what he ate or drank must have contained the poison, I have dispatched teams to the mansion to hold every single person down till we find the culprit" he said and I swallowed nothing.

" Ok, thanks,bye" I said and dropped the phone.
So it wasn't Maya.
Then who? Who could it be?
I slowly turned to her,her eyes were on the floor.
I didn't even know what to say.
I felt sorry

" Leave her" I said and the guards dropped her,she fell to the floor.
I bent to her
" Uhm Maya, am terribly sorry for what just happened, I really didn't know what I was doing then..... I was stupid not to believe you, I got terribly blinded with grief I didn't know what I was doing, please am sorry " I said feeling bad.
She slowly smiled making me shiver.
She then stood up and quietly walked away

I felt sad.
" Maya, Maya! .... Am sorryy " I said and rushed out.
The guards followed

I ran into the car and hurried to the mansion.
Soon we arrived and I got down.
The guards already surrounded the mansion and the maids and cleaners lined before me.

I coughed and looked at everyone of them before walking in....
Am sure one of them is the culprit
I walked in and to the table
The glass was still on the table and I silently bent to it.
Wait, the juice...this could be the answer,could it be that the juice was poisoned
I got up and rushed out
" who served the CEO this morning?." I asked and they all looked at each other.
A girl raised her hand.
Good.

She stepped out
" ma, it was Ella." She said, fear in her eyes.

" Ella. Who's Ella?.." I asked
" the new girl, she was admitted here yesterday" she said.

I faced the chief guard.
" what!... on who's order, who brought her in." I asked in a haste
"Have you forgotten, it's you miss Jesse, she came with a document stating she should be brought in and your signature was on it.." He said and I almost fell.

" wait, wait...." I said thinking.
" S**t!, it was fake, I didn't sign any document, It was orchestrated, i didn't know anyone was marked in yesterday, where's she.....S**t! Find her!!!" I said and the soldiers hurried around..

" you, get the juice inside tested and see if traces of poison can be found" I said and another soldier ran in.
" you, follow me"
I rushed into the house and ran into the control room with the chief guard
They bowed on seeing me.
" guys, show me any footage we have of this Ella, her entries, movements and exits and also what she have done since her last 24 hours in the mansion." I said and we all faced the computer
" show me anything you manged to find on her! " I said again

" Miss, I got something." One said and I rushed over.

I face the screen.
It was a video of her on mask sneaking outside the mansion behind the gate.

" check other footage and see what other things you can find" I said and he turned to me
" nothing miss, have checked everything" he said.

" how did this happen." I said as I faced the chief guard
" how did she get away, I mean how did she even plan all this, we have no clue who she is, where she's from, who sent her, no hand or footprint,it's like she was never here ." I said looking at them.

" and the big question is- " one of the soldier ran in.

" " we found this ma, the maids claimed it belongs to her." He handed it to me
I collected the wristband from him and started at it.

“ B4 ” was clearly written on it.

I turned to them
" scan the net for any information on B4, anything you can't find now! " I shouted and they started typing.


Jason p.o.v

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up.
I looked up and smiled in pain
Am here again
One of the guards ran to me
" are you okay sir." He bent to me.
I turned to him

" where's Jesse " I said quietly and looked around

" she's not here sir, she's currently working on finding the culprit who poisoned you sir, she ordered us to stand watch here sir" he said and I managed to smile.

" just like the last time.." I smiled.
" sir! " he said, I turned

I nodded for him to leave and he left.
I tried standing
I felt so much pain that I fell back to the bed.
The soldiers ran to me.
" sir!!! "

" am fine,it's alright " I said and they slowly walked back.

I sat well.
Am tired, so tired.
Throughout my whole life,I never felt safe.
it has always been like that.
Running from assassins and escaping death has been my life.
I wonder who is really behind this death threats.
I smiled.
I don't even know who I am

The doctor walked in and I turned to him.
On seeing me, he smiled.

" hey mr Brandon, you're up " he smiled and walked over.
I smiled back.
I tried taking my phone on the bedside but my hands were not moving.
I tried again

" doc, what's happening to me, why can't I feel my hand. " I said in shock.
He rushed to me
" you have to calm down, Mr Brandon, the tests we conducted shows that the poison contained a powerful, strong toxin which has attacked your nervous system, mostly the primary cortex motor in your brain, therefore temporarily causing a paralysis in your right hand... It's fine, it's just temporary" he said.

My heart was hitting my chest but I managed to smile
" so I can't use this arm again.."
" no, it's just for a while, a month or two with therapy and you are fine, you are going to suspend your drawings and business till then, am sorry Jason.." He said looked down.

I stared at my arm quietly,I tried lifting it again but nothing happened.
I felt my tears drop.

Episode one

K p.o.v

I watch her walk in.
The room was a bit dark so I didn't see her face clearly.

She walked closer and that was when I saw she wore a mask.
Again ?!!

" Must we always do this? " I said as she sat down, dropping her gun on the table.

She faced me

" Look Sarah, I know our job is dangerous and how keeping our identity matters but at least am being honest with you here allowing you to see my face, why can't you do the same and stop this mask thing, is it so hard???" I said and I saw her smile.

" You wanna know why." She said quietly and I nodded.

" I assume it's because I can't trust you."

I managed to smile
" Sarah. Everyone knows you are one of the best and formidable agents in the organization, you have seen multiple wars, gone through hell, so tell me what you are scared of? Sarah, tell me! " I said and she just smiled.

I relaxed back
" I don't know why or what am even doing right now, am confused, I can't just grab the reason you decided to hid yourself behind the mask," I said palms out
"even if you are that ugly or have a bad scar, it still doesn't sound a good reason to me... Everyone has a dark past, don't let yours be the first" I said and looked out.

I saw her pick her gun and toyed with it.
" K. " She called quietly and slowly turned the gun to me.
I tried to smile
" What is this, B4( her code name)" I said and she smiled
" Any news from the boss.." she said and slowly brought her gun down

I slowly breathed
" Look, Sarah-

" Any news from the boss," she said again

" Okay. " I sat well and brought out the files.
I dropped them on the table

" He's Dr. Noelstein, am sure you never heard about him but he's pretty famous, he owns one of Florida's biggest hospitals and malls. He is rumored to have two sons and has gone into-

" wait, what do you mean by rumored?." She said

I folded my arms" well he only has a son but the other is rumored and that's all we managed to find, you might not know but he's also a founding member of this organization but isn't anymore, so sad " I smiled.

" So what the mission "

" Before he resigned,he managed to get his hands on a top file of the organization and got away with them, so your mission now is to retrieve them."

" Okay, what's the file "

" Something like this.. in his glasses." I showed her another picture of him

She smiled

" His glasses are highly advanced Al computer that can access any network including ours, thankfully we were able to build a wall against them, it's in them he's hiding the files,all you have to do his get his glasses, easy as hell," I said

She still smiled

" So why are we stealing the glasses, what do the files contain,"she said
" Am afraid I can't tell you that, this is a highly classified operation with restrictions"

" Okay. Fine " she quietly said
I brought out some tickets
" You have been scheduled for a flight in the next one hour, miss , see you in Florida.." I said and smiled.

She looked at me " I don't need you." She said and stood up
She took her gun

I smiled" okay. As you wish."

" Better," she said and stood up to leave

" agent B4. " I said and she stopped.

I walked to her.
I tried touching her hair and the next second a gun was already on my neck.
" Hey. Just kidding." I smiled and she walked away.

I followed her
Am not letting her get away today without seeing who she is
I brought out my remote phone from my pocket and pressed it.
Nothing happened and I pressed it again.
Where the hell are the stupid guards!

We got to the door and she stopped.
She turned and faced me quietly.

" Maybe next time , try to teach your boys some really good manners so I won't have to do the stress okay," she said and I ran outside.

My eyes widened when I saw all of the guards dead on the floor.
I felt my legs grew weak
S**t! , how did this happen?
She's really a monster.
I managed to hide my shock and smiled.
" Nice job, well done. You really are unpredictable Sarah "I said as she moved past me.
" I'll take that as a compliment,K " She smiled and moved
I watch her walk into a black car and drove off.

I looked at the bodies around and nodded
I really underestimated her.

Jason p.o.v

I lay seated in the living room waiting for my secretary
I checked my watch
I wonder why she's so late

Just then a maid walked over and dropped a glass of juice on the table
" Hm thank you " I said
She bowed and left.
I took it and drank little.

She rushed in.
I smiled on seeing her.
" Wow! Jesse, you came so early." I said,hands folded and she looked down.

" Am so sorry sir, I got delayed on my way here" she said and I stood up.

" Are the cars ready. " I said and she nodded.

" ok, let's go then " I said and we both walked out of the mansion.

Guards were already waiting
They opened the door and I bent into the car.
Jesse followed and soon the car started moving.

" Uhm Jesse, how's the transaction with the foreign investors going, are they willing to go on with the agreement and what did I miss since. " I said and she wore her glasses well.

" Sir, the transaction was successful and they've agreed to buy the artifacts and painting more than what we proposed, they even agreed to bring in more investors to strengthen our bond, right now, our profits has yielded 40% more sir and more buyers have been trooping in since the last transaction." She smiled happily.

I turned to her in shock
" Really?!!...... I thought they already call off the deal, I thought we lost it, how did all this happen, it's amazing isn't it.."we both smiled
" Well I mean that's a huge success" I smiled and looked at her face happily
" Tell me who among our painters and sculptors is doing the magic....is it dean or Esther? Who ? " I looked into her glasses
" Uhm sir, she's new and just joined us last month and her paintings have been the most viewed and bought since than after yours, even the designs on her sculptures is extraordinary,I must confess she's super talented, no one knows where she draws her inspiration from ." She said smiling.

" Am sure you'll be wowed when you see her works sir " she said and I nodded.

" Well I'll love to meet her." I said

She smiled.
" Yes and oh- I forgot,we are launching one of her sculptures and paintings today at the museum , am sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I didn't know you'll be visiting today sir "

The car suddenly stopped.
Seems we are here

I walked out and the guards followed behind.
Jesse rushed over.

On seeing me,the guards at the door quickly bowed and opened the door.
I walked in and saw lot of people walking around.
Wow, I moved in.

I raised my hand and the guards stopped behind
Jesse stopped me
" Sir, your safety matters.." she said and I smiled.
" It's okay, I want to be alone " I said and she nodded sadly

I moved further staring at the paintings quietly.
" Honey, isn't this beautiful,can we take it pleasee" I heard one say.
Hm.... I smiled.
I continued walking.
One of the wall painting caught my eye and I walked to it
I looked closely on it and noticed how carefully painted the drawing was
" Hm.... Good. " I breathed nodding.
" Yes, everyone says that " I heard someone say.
I turned and saw it was a some girl,maybe one of the tourists.
" You like it right. " I asked her and she just stared quietly.
I continued
" It's beautiful how the artist carefully hid up the image of war and destruction in the picture of a beach, that's like combining destruction and entertainment all together in an art, this is something not many would notice, and that's why I called it good " I smiled and she suddenly turned to me.

I smiled at her
She started walking away.

" Uhm, did I do anything wrong, wait please " I said as I followed her in a haste

She stopped and turned, staring at me
" Why are you following me?." She asked.
Did I get her angry.

" Am sorry but I didn't mean to- uhmm about the painting- what's wrong with me...ow! Ow!" I cried as I felt pains in my tummy.

" Ahhh......owww! " I cried and slowly fell to the ground
I coughed out blood
She bent to me,I could see she was clearly concerned
" Are you okay, what's wrong with you.." I heard her voice ring.
I felt the pains free me a bit
I managed to smile.
" You have a beautiful voice.." I said and she angrily dropped me
The pains came again and this pains it made me cry hard.
I felt like my stomach was being torn apart
I almost cried.
I slowly closed my eyes and opened them.
She was still staring at me like I was some movie

I felt so weak and lifeless
" Sir, Sir! Sir!....." I heard Jesse footsteps got closer
" arrest her!!!......and secure the CEO" was the last thing I heard before my eyes finally closed..
