Things to remember while we make our choices for the Presidency of Nigeria come 2023.
Our folks both Christians and muslims are still in captivity with the terrorists that have abducted them for almost 100 days now. The president, the defense department, other security agencies and the top politicians are not talking about them anymore. It is business as usual for them.
According to top government officials including Anambra state Governor the NNPC have not remitted any money into the federation account since February despite the fact that the price of crude had risen astronomically to over 100 dollars per barrel since the beginning of the year. Who is the Petroleum minister of Nigeria at the moment? The answer is Buhari, the president.
Our people are not safe at their homes, in the farms, on the roads and not even in the churches.
Our children have been at home for over 150 days because of the federal government refusal to fund the University education as agreed.
The people of Nigeria cannot buy the basic foods like rice, beans, garri, etc anymore because of the prices that have gone beyond their reach. It is a luxury to afford ordinary rice at the moment.
The level of unemployment have risen to unprecedented levels in the history of Nigeria.
Out of school children in Nigeria are now close to 20 million children and Nigeria have maintained the position of being the poverty capital of the world.
It is on record that the APC and PDP are not telling Nigerians how to solve these and other pressing issues facing the country instead their leadership have paid billions to their e rats to try as much as possible to dig up dirts and fabricate false data and information on the candidate of the Labour party Mr Peter Obi who they perceive as the most visible threat to their stranglehold on the treasury and the people of Nigeria.
As we are going to press, both the candidates of APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu and PDP Atiku Abubakar are currently on medical vacation in various parts of the world outside Nigeria. This very medical treatment which have dominated the large period of the current president Buhari and have cost the people of Nigeria billions if not trillions of naira since 2015. How much does it cost to build a world class hospital and how much have our president and other leaders including Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar spent on medical tourism since 2015.
Now the question is who amongst the candidates got the capacity, the moral authority to change the narrative of Nigeria come 2023.
If the following are banks, where would you bank your money
1. Atiku Abubakar
2. Ahmed Bola Tinubu
3. Peter Obi
Nigerians should try to answer the above question with honesty as much as possible.
We go to the best mechanics available to fix our cars, we employ the best plumbers to fix our taps. We don't ask them if they are Hausa or Yoruba or Igbo or Ijaw or Efik or Ibibio, or Tiv or Fulani but when it comes to the most important thing in our lives we allow ourselves to be deceived by the same people who have held us down to tell us about tribalism and religion. Poverty, hunger, starvation, insecurity, unemployment, do not discriminate against tribes and religion. They are products of failure of leadership and should be tackled holistically.
Arise and reclaim our country from the rotten and bad leadership of APC and PDP for the past 24 years.
Nigeria and Nigerians need to chart a new direction of prudence, zero tolerance on looting , focused and unemotional attention to insecurity and above all RESTRUCTURING of the south to restore the foundation of the country.
Only Peter Gregory Obi stands out to possess the qualities to address these issues.
Get your PVC and make it happen.
Peter Obi Is Coming.
