Katsina State Government Approves Tax Relief for Businesses Accessing KASEDA Interest-Free Loans

The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Mal. Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, has taken another step to support businesses accessing the KASEDA Interest-Free Loan Programme by directing the State Revenue Board to provide tax relief and waivers on applicable penalties for eligible beneficiaries.

In line with this directive, the Chairman of the Katsina State Revenue Board, Mohammed Isyaku, visited KASEDA today for an alignment meeting with the Director General, Dr. Babangida Kabir Ruma, to discuss the implementation of the initiative and ensure that eligible businesses can benefit from the relief.

Under the arrangement, businesses that qualify to access the KASEDA Interest-Free Loan will be recommended by KASEDA for the applicable tax relief and penalty waivers, helping to reduce their financial obligations and create a more enabling environment for them to utilize the financing effectively.

The initiative reflects the State Government's commitment to ensuring that access to finance goes beyond disbursement by also addressing some of the financial challenges that may affect beneficiaries' ability to grow and sustain their businesses.

Through this collaboration between KASEDA and the Katsina State Revenue Board, the State Government continues to strengthen its support for MSMEs and create better conditions for businesses to grow, expand, and contribute to the economic development of Katsina State.

Katsina State Executive Council Approves KASEDA “Catch Them Young” Schools Entrepreneurship Programme

The Katsina State Executive Council has approved the KASEDA Schools Entrepreneurship Programme, “Catch Them Young,” to be implemented across public secondary schools in the State.

The programme is designed to introduce students to entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and practical business skills at an early age, helping them develop an entrepreneurial mindset and better understand the opportunities available beyond traditional career paths.

Through the initiative, KASEDA will work towards exposing young people to the fundamentals of starting and managing a business, identifying opportunities, solving problems creatively, and developing skills that can become valuable for their future.

KASEDA, NAFDAC Explore Strategic Partnership to Strengthen MSME Compliance and Business Growth

The Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) on Thursday received a delegation from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Musa Momodo Ikhazobor, for a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration in support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Katsina State.

The delegation was received by the Director General of KASEDA, Dr. Babangida Kabir Ruma, where both organisations discussed areas of partnership that will make it easier for businesses in the State to comply with NAFDAC’s regulatory requirements. The collaboration is expected to improve access to information, simplify compliance processes, and support entrepreneurs in obtaining the necessary certifications to grow their businesses.
