Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu For President In 2015 THE MESSIAH NIGERIANS ARE WAITING FOR, IS FINALLY HERE. DR MUAZU BABANGIDA ALIYU IS THE SOLUTION IN 2015. TESTED AND TRUSTED

24/01/2014

Niger State Governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, has said the Peoples Democratic Party will overcome its internal crisis and win the 2015 presidential election.

Aliyu also said the PDP would form the next government in Niger State in 2015.
Speaking at the presentation of take off grants to beneficiaries of Subsidy Reinvesting Empowerment Programme, the governor said what the party needed was prayers for the party to do the right thing and for good and acceptable candidates to be nominated for the elections.

He said, “PDP shall form the next Federal Government. PDP will win the governorship election in Niger State in 2015, and we will do it by God’s guidance and by our clean minds.

“If anybody is with clean mind, God will assist the person no matter what people say. Even people who slaughter donkeys and vultures may need to go to Senegal or Mali. That is a long way to go to get these animals. So, whether you slaughter vultures or donkeys so that nobody will be liked, I am happy my people like me, and I can go anywhere and say ‘we did all we did with your support because we let you know what is happening and you advised’.”

“A leader must be ready always for criticisms because most times, when people criticise, it is because they don’t know the basis of the decision that has been taken, but if they know, they may advise on how to correct it and how to make it better. Criticism is one of the ways to make leaders be in the know.”

Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu has expressed his readiness to
take a shot at the Presidency in 2015, if he the people want him to
join the race.
The governor spoke yesterday in Minna, the state capital, when he
hosted delegates of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties
(CNPP), led by its Chairman, Alhaji Balarabe Musa.
Aliyu said: "I always prepare myself for eventuality. I have never
declared for anything. I didn't declare to be governor; I was called
upon. So, if my people call upon me, I won't hesitate to contest."
The governor cautioned against political intolerance of the ruling
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels of government to
opposition. He noted that a one-party state was undemocratic.
Aliyu maintained that a multiple-party system at any level would
encourage healthy competition and enable the people to choose the
best to be their leaders.
He said: "Every ruling party wants to have a one-party state. I
encourage a multiple-party system so that there would be peer
review and for the people to have choices of ideology and style. We
need to show the people the differences in what is to be done and
how we can run the affair of governance.
"A one-party state is undemocratic as it makes one to want to crush
another over a little disagreement." Aliyu condemned the
undemocratic forces in Rivers State, where the people were restricted
from holding meetings or gatherings.
The governor stressed that this should not be allowed to continue.
He said: "Undemocratic forces are very active in Rivers State. People
cannot meet or gather for activities.
Even during the military era, people were still allowed to meet. This
has already happened and, if we allow it to continue, it will ruin the
peace in the country."
Musa said he and his team were in Niger State for CNPP's annual
conference. He said the CNPP was not an opposition party but an
umbrella of smaller political parties and political organisations.

2015: Fani-Kayode Backs Babangida Aliyu

The search for a standard-bearer for the yet-to-be registered All Progressives Congress may have started as former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged the Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu to contest the 2015 presidential poll.

photo The search for a standard-bearer for the yet-to-be registered All Progressives Congress may have started as former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged the Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu to contest the 2015 presidential poll.

Fani-Kayode, who spoke with reporters on Monday in Minna, said he was in the state to “consult with important people about the Nigeria project.”

He said, “Nobody can ignore Niger State, nobody can ignore Minna; anyone that ignores the state does so at his or her own peril.”

Though not confirmed, Fani-Kayode reportedly held talks with former military heads of state, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar.

The former minister, while recommending Aliyu for the country’s presidency in 2015, said, “The governor is honest, straight forward and courageous.”

Fani-Kayode, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC, said the people of Niger State should be proud of Aliyu because “despite all challenges, he has come out to do what is right.”

The former minister said, “When you want to consider the bright stars of Nigeria for 2015, consider Governor Aliyu.”

He added, “If the PDP fails to pick Governor Aliyu as its presidential standard-bearer for 2015 election, the opposition will be delighted to have him. Any group of people that will be privileged to have Aliyu should be grateful.

“For 2015, we need forthright men that will stand against tyranny and injustice. We need men that will fight for democracy.”

Fani-Kayode also explained why he left the PDP, saying the party had lost focus and abandoned Nigerians.

He alleged that the PDP-led Federal Government had since 2007 squandered the nation’s resources, resulting in the depletion of its foreign reserves, and the excess crude account.

The aviation minister in the former President Olusegun Obasanjo administration added that there was increasing corruption, security challenges and high unemployment rate in the country.

Noting that he had advised Obasanjo to leave the PDP, Fani-Kayode said there was the need for people of like minds to come together to save the country from the party.

He added that if President Goodluck Jonathan continued as president beyond 2015, “Nigeria will be worse than Zaire.”

Canvassing a change in the nation’s leadership, Fani-Kayode said the PDP-led Federal Government, which he thought would bring about progress, had only succeeded in bringing retrogression to the polity.

He also described the suggestion by the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, to give automatic ticket to Jonathan and the governors seeking second term in office as “dangerous” and a plan to turn Nigeria to communist “China and Socialist Republic of Russia.”

Niger State governor and the presidential candidate of peoples democratic party(PDP) Comes 2015 Insha Allah, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has said that the country had enough financial resources to fund free education forall its citizens from primary up to university level.

He also said that the federal government had to divest some of its powers to states and local governments adding that the federal government should restrict itself to policy formulation in education and concentrate on defence, security and foreign affairs.
He however called for the review ofthe revenue allocation formula adding that the federal government should have 38 percent of money accruable to the federation account while states and local governments will share the balance.

The Governor who stressed that the state was factually the foundation of Nigeria, believed in the corporate existence of the country adding that Nigerlites would resist any attempt by individuals or groups to create disharmony in the society and disintegrate the nation.
Governor Aliyu also harped on the issue of insecurity and the economic devastation the situation had inflicted on the nation entirely and the Northern region in particular citing as an example the catastrophic decline in economic transaction recorded at the Kantin Kwari Market in Kano, where traders’ daily bank deposits shrank from N256Million to N11Million.
