The House of Representatives announced the passing of Rep. Muhammad Danjuma Hassan, 66, on April 10, 2026, in Abuja after an illness.

He was Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, and represented Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, Kano State. Elected in 2023 under NNPP, he was a former Permanent Secretary with decades of National Assembly experience.

The House mourned him as a distinguished legislator and legal draftsman whose contributions shaped many laws.

I extend my condolences to his family, constituents, and Kano State.
