IBM YOUTH BRIGADE Launches Educational Support Initiative
Today, IBM YOUTH BRIGADE launched its inaugural educational support project, benefiting over 200 primary school students in Mutubari Ward, Kalgo Local Government. The students received essential educational materials, including exercise books, erasers, sharpeners, and HB pencils, aiming to bridge the gap in access to quality education in rural areas.
The Brigade, led by Comrade Haliru Nagodi, handed over the materials to School Headmaster Malam Sahabi Abarshi. Notably, Mutubari Primary School, with 266 students, faces challenges with attendance, only 1/5 of the students are present, highlighting the need for support. This initiative marks the beginning of IBM YOUTH BRIGADE's efforts to address educational disparities.
In a concurrent gesture, IBM YOUTH BRIGADE distributed 200 sanitary pads to female students of Federal University Birnin Kebbi at Unguwar Jeje, Kalgo Local Government.
