Chairman Jema'a Local Government Area, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, condemned the episode that claimed lives in strong terms during the security emergency meeting. He stated that security agencies are working on the unfortunate situation.

Dogara expressed sadness over the incident, describing it as shocking. He directed emergency treatment for those victimized in various hospitals.

The Chairman called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, women, and youth to redouble their efforts in promoting peaceful coexistence. He acknowledged that farmers and herders deserve survival and appropriate means of livelihood through agricultural activities involving farming and animal rearing.

Pointing out that the government would work synergistically to ensure that perpetrators are brought to book and judicially punished, serving as a deterrent to others.

Finally, he condoled with families who lost loved ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of injured victims during his hospital visit.

Earlier today, the management of Unity Bank of Kafanchan Branch paid a congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of Jema'a Local Government, Honourable Peter Tanko Dogara, in his office at the Council Secretariat, Kafanchan. The Executive Chairman appreciated the management for the show of love and decision to partner with his administration to facilitate growth and development in the area.

In his statement, the Unity Bank Manager, Mr. Danjuma Isa Shallangwa, congratulated the new Executive Chairman for the opportunity to serve the citizens of the area. The Executive Chairman of Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Honourable Peter Tanko Dogara, has reiterated his commitment to justice and democratic leadership. During his handover ceremony, held at the Council Chamber, Kafanchan, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Dogara pledged to deliver on his 5-point agenda.

He thanked the outgoing Chairman, Comrade Yunana Marcus Barde, for his service to the people of Jema'a Local Government Area and wished him well in his future endeavors. Comrade Barde described his three-year tenure as rewarding and expressed confidence in Dogara's capabilities to provide quality leadership.

Dogara encouraged staff and citizens to extend understanding and cooperation to enable him to deliver quality services. The highlight of the ceremony included the presentation of handover notes from Comrade Barde to Dogara.

To mark his first day in office, the Executive Chairman of Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Honourable Peter TANKO Dogara, visited patients at Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital Kafanchan on Monday, November 4, 2024. While in the hospital, the Chairman interacted with the patients, cheered them up, and encouraged them to believe in God for their recovery to enable them to continue with their normal activities. He stated that it is considered unique to extend a hand of fellowship to the sick, especially those in the hospital across party lines, so as to give the sick a sense of belonging and show love. The team also led to the site where construction and renovation are ongoing in the hospital to reduce government effort in fast-tracking the project.
