NANS and NAPS Pay Courtesy Visit to the Director General, National Water Resources Institute
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) have paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Abduljalal Danbaba, Director General of the National Water Resources Institute (NWRI), to congratulate him on his appointment by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
During the visit, the student leaders commended Dr. Danbaba for his dedication to educational advancement and public service. They emphasized their commitment to strengthening ties with the Institute and leveraging his leadership and experience to promote student welfare, innovation, and capacity development across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
The delegation presented a gold medal and a congratulatory certificate to the Director General in recognition of his outstanding contributions to academic excellence and youth development. They also proposed a strategic partnership between NANS, NAPS, and the NWRI to foster collaboration in research, training, and sustainable youth engagement. Additionally, the students expressed their desire to adopt Dr. Danbaba as a father and mentor, acknowledging his exemplary leadership and mentorship qualities.
In his remarks, Dr. Danbaba warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed deep appreciation for their thoughtful visit. Reflecting on his background as unionist, he encouraged the students to uphold the values of dialogue, discipline, and constructive engagement. He assured them of the Institute’s readiness to collaborate and support initiatives that enhance education, leadership, and national development.
Dr. Danbaba further promised to engage NANS and NAPS as partners and advocates of the National Water Resources Institute, noting that youth inclusion remains vital to sustainable progress in the water resources sector.
The meeting concluded with prayers and a group photograph, symbolizing a renewed commitment to collaboration between the National Water Resources Institute and Nigeria’s student community.
