SSA YOUTH AND SPORT JOINS “SABO 2 THE WORLD” SENSITIZATION WALK TO MARK INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
The Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Sports to Hon. Fidelix J. Bagudu, Member Representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Comr. Katung Innocent (Mr SOD) joined other youth leaders and stakeholders in a sensitization walk organized by the “Sabo 2 The World” initiative to commemorate International Women’s Day.
The walk, which took place across Sabon Tasha and surrounding communities, brought together notable personalities including Ambassador Sheyin Wakili, Engr. Ngan Funom Kato, Solomon Ado Yani, members of the NYCN Sabon Tasha Ward, and several youth groups committed to promoting women’s empowerment and community development.
Speaking during the event, the SSA Youth and Sports emphasized that the progress of Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency is strongly tied to the empowerment and active participation of women in leadership, business, and community development.
He commended Comrade Koji Abrakson and his team for their resilience and commitment in mobilizing young people for such a meaningful cause. According to him, initiatives like the sensitization walk serve as a reminder that empowering women translates directly into stronger and more prosperous communities.
Highlighting the theme of this year’s celebration, “Give to Gain,” he encouraged stakeholders, leaders, and community members to invest in the potential of women and girls across the constituency.
He noted that opening opportunities for women creates a ripple effect of development, stressing that women empowerment equals community empowerment.
The SSA also appreciated all partners and participants who contributed to the success of the event and reiterated the commitment of youth leaders in the constituency to continue advocating for inclusion, equality, and opportunities for young women.
Participants were also invited to connect and explore opportunities at the upcoming Kaduna Buy and Sell event scheduled for 28th and 29th March, 2026, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and economic engagement among young people.
