Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin
Majema is a community located in the City of Jos, it derived it's name from the ancient business of Animal Skin processing. In 90s down to 2000 most of the youths then make Animal processing their primary business until recently that most of them have ventured into other businesses. In the area of Islamic Education Majema has erudite Islamic Scholars and Sheikh's who have vast knowledge of the Glorious Alƙur'an, Hadith , Fiqhu and other Islamic books. Most of these Islamic Scholars have died among which is my Father, may Allah have mercy on their souls and grant them Aljannatul fiddaus as their final place of abode and may them be with the their beloved one(prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Ameen. Some of them are alive and are still producing young Sheikh's and Islamic teachers. In the area of Conventional Education Majema have crops of talented, brilliant and erudite personalities such as Professor, a doctor in view, masters graduates, first degree graduates and diploma graduates in various field of study and discipline. The narrative that some people have about Majema is untrue as majema youths are educated in both Islamic and Conventional Education, handwork ranging from carpentry,mechanic, keke napep riders,drivers, tailors and many more skillfull handworks. Relate with a Majema Youth and you will understand all these that I've said and many more unsaid. God bless Majema, God bless Jos, God bless Plateau State,God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
