CRACKDOWN ON ILLEGAL MINING AT JOS WILDLIFE PARK

In the last 6 months, park patrols have arrested OVER 40 illegal miners at Jos Wildlife Park—all charged to court and sentenced.

Latest arrests (March 5, 2026):
Ishaku Joseph (36)
Mathias Mathew (23) Bobay James (32)

They were sentenced to hard labour—refilling holes they dug in the protected area.

The Jos Wildlife Park is a GAZETTED CONSERVATION AREA. Trespassing and illegal activities are crimes with consequences.
