TINCITY METRO INTRODUCES “NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY” POLICY

In line with the ongoing efforts of the Plateau State Government to curb the spread of diphtheria, the Management of Plateau Express Services Group has directed the enforcement of a “No Face Mask, No Entry” policy on all TinCity Metro buses, effective Tuesday, 8th September 2026, until further notice.

To support commuters during the commencement of this enforcement, Management has made a limited number of face masks available at designated boarding points. Passengers are, however, strongly advised to come along with their own face masks, as the available supply is limited and may not be sufficient for all commuters.

All passengers are encouraged to comply with the directive and cooperate with TinCity Metro personnel, as containing public health outbreaks requires collective responsibility.

Management appreciates the understanding and cooperation of commuters as we work together to ensure a safer public transport environment.

TRIBUTE TO BARRISTER BINCHEN JANTUR

It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of our Company Secretary and Head of Legal Services, Barrister Binchen Jantur, following a period of illness.

Barrister Jantur and I were appointed on the same day, marking the beginning of a close working relationship founded on a shared responsibility to rebuild and reposition Plateau Express Services Limited. At the time, the company was effectively on life support, confronted by serious operational, financial, and regulatory challenges.

With the support and purposeful leadership of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, we worked tirelessly to restructure, reposition, and rebrand the company into what is today the Plateau Express Services Group.

Barrister Jantur played an important role in that transformation. Among his most significant contributions was helping to restore the company’s corporate and regulatory standing at a critical time when years of non-compliance had placed it at risk of being struck off the register of the Corporate Affairs Commission. He supported the settlement of outstanding annual returns, facilitated the strategic increase of the company’s share capital, and helped restore full regulatory compliance, thereby safeguarding the legal and operational legitimacy of the organisation.

Together, we also contributed to the introduction of the TinCity Metro bus service, which has grown into an important social and economic intervention for Plateau State, providing affordable transportation and serving more than 15,000 commuters daily.

Beyond his professional competence, I will remember Barrister Jantur as a humble, gentle, jovial, and loyal friend and colleague. His calm disposition, warmth, and commitment to our shared responsibilities made working with him both pleasant and meaningful.

His passing is a painful loss to his family, colleagues, the Plateau Express Services Group, and the wider Plateau State community.

May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire PESG family during this difficult period.

Rest in peace, Barrister Binchen Jantur. Your service, contributions, and legacy will not be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of receiving the talented Hilarioussunnie in my office on a courtesy visit aimed at exploring strategic collaboration with Plateau Express Services Group ahead of his upcoming Life Times Event.

As a legacy institution, PESG understands that sustainable growth is deeply connected to community engagement, particularly within the creative industry, which continues to serve as a vital bridge for promoting tourism, culture, and positive visibility for Plateau State.

My office remains committed to supporting initiatives that amplify local talent and project the strength, resilience, and creativity of our people. Within the limits of our available resources, the necessary support will be extended to Sunnie and his team.
