With a heart full of gratitude and deep humility, I accept the honour of emerging as the consensus candidate for the Plateau State House of Assembly, Jos South Constituency, under our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This moment is bigger than me, it is a reflection of our shared sacrifices, our unity, and our collective belief in a better Jos South.

Our Voice, Our Future

True leadership starts with listening. It is rooted in humility, strengthened through consultation, and driven by a genuine commitment to the people. Over the past few days, we have taken deliberate steps in that direction—engaging widely, learning deeply, and drawing wisdom from respected leaders, party stakeholders, and community voices across Jos South.

Beginning on April 7, 2026, we started extensive consultations with traditional leaders, party elders, ward executives, youth leaders, and key stakeholders, including:

Da Christopher Mancha – Gwom Rwei, Zawan

Da Mancha Gyang – Gwom, Dashonong

Da Gabriel Raphael Pam – Gwom, Hwolshe/Giring

Rt. Hon. Fom Gwottson – Former Deputy Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, and respected leader of our great party, the PDP

Dara James Stephen Pam – PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Jos South, and a dedicated party leader

Mr. Chris Danboyi – Chairman, Zawan B Federal Ward

Mr. Dominic Mancha – Chairman, Giring Federal Ward

Mr. Emmanuel Gyang – Chairman, Zawan A Federal Ward

Mr. Henry James Pam – Chairman, Hwolshe Ward, and his team

PDP Chairmen and their executives across Giring, Zawan A & B Federal Wards have been appropriately consulted, with engagements with the remaining ward officials to follow accordingly.

These interactions have further strengthened our resolve and deepened our understanding of the hopes, concerns, and aspirations of our people.

As consultations continue with elders, youth, women’s groups, and stakeholders throughout the constituency, I am guided by a deep sense of responsibility, faith, and dedication to service.

Today, I humbly declare my intention to run for the Plateau State House of Assembly to represent Jos South Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

My dear esteemed alumni,

My name is Nentawe Dominic Yilkudi, a proud graduate of Biochemistry from Plateau State University and a dedicated professional currently serving at the Jos University Teaching Hospital.

After wide consultations with respected stakeholders, colleagues, and fellow alumni, and following careful consideration, I have resolved to present myself as a candidate for the Office of Secretary General of the Plateau State University Alumni Association (PLASUAA).

My decision is driven by a strong commitment to service, organization, and effective communication—qualities essential for the office of the Secretary General. I bring with me a blend of professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for efficient record-keeping and coordination.

The philosophy that working with teachable unskilled people is more productive than assembling rebellious skilled people reminds us that attitude and willingness to learn often matter more than existing ability. Skills can be taught and improved over time, but humility, discipline, and openness to guidance are what make people truly effective in building a stronger society. In community development, teachable individuals are more likely to cooperate, embrace new ideas, and work together toward shared goals such as better education, agriculture, infrastructure, and economic growth. When people are united by a willingness to learn and grow, leaders can invest in training and gradually transform ordinary citizens into capable contributors to development. On the other hand, when skilled people are rebellious, resistant to direction, or driven by ego, progress becomes difficult because cooperation and unity are lost.
