Fire Risk Assessment and Rescue Demonstration
Location: First Aid Group of Jama'atu Izalatul Bid'ah Wa Iqamatus-Sunnah (JIBWIS), Jega LGA, Kebbi State.

Team Lead: Deputy Superintendent of Fire (DSF) Zaharadeen. In a proactive move to enhance public safety and emergency preparedness, the Federal Fire Service, Jega Area Command, conducted a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment and Rescue Training session for the First Aid Group of JIBWIS in Jega.
The exercise was designed to equip the volunteers with essential skills in fire prevention, controlled extinguishing, and victim evacuation techniques.
Key Highlights of the Exercise
Fire Risk Assessment: Our team conducted a thorough evaluation of the premises to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations on mitigating fire risks within the community setting.
Live Fire Suppression: Participants witnessed and participated in practical demonstrations on how to use fire extinguishers and fire blankets to stifle flames at the incipient stage. Rescue Operations: DSF Zaharadeen and the team demonstrated various manual carries and rescue maneuvers, including:
The Firemanโs Lift: For moving unconscious or injured persons quickly.
Two-Person Seats: Used for transporting victims who are conscious but unable to walk.
Child Rescue Techniques: Specialized handling for younger victims during emergencies.
