FROM THE DESK OF THE SUG PRESIDENT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE SENATE PRESIDENT.

The general public could remember the circular coming from the desk of the university management concerning the closing date of the school fees portal.

The SUG president and the Senate president of our great institution having vowed to uphold and protect the interest of the students were in a closed door meeting with the university management pleading, so as the date for the closure could be shifted.

Considering the fact that the state government are yet to pay salary and the state itself is a salary depending state.

However, the meeting is yet to be positive, on this note therefore, the general public are advice to try as much as possible to pay their school fees before the closing date.

On the same vain, the leadership of the SUG and that of the Senate in collaboration with the TASSU president, want to reassure the students that they are on top of the matter and they will convince the management to see more reasons as why the closing date should be shifted.

*TO A GREAT SKY*

Ignite your light,
Let the gloom gleam, beam so bright,
Till the world ignores the sun beam,
Bring to life the dying dream,
Save the crown the drowning king,
Write a new verse to the universe,
Saying you've change the sand of time in her hourglass,
Be the smile on her face,
The legs to run the human race.

Sing her some new songs,
Make a right of her wrongs,
Groom her, make her a bride,
Be her king, be her pride,
Bring out the beast in her hide,
Make her beautiful again,
Quench her flaws and send down the rain.

Ignite the light,
Let shine the sun so bright,
Like the brightest day of the darkest night,
Let your wings take flight,
Fly high to where the peak lies,
From your heart to a great sky.

Library and Information Science is a discipline which focuses more on how information is acquired, processed, stored, retrieved and disseminated to users, irrespective of the users' gender, location, race, status etc. Processing of these information follow some certain stages in this disciple such as Cataloguing and Classification. Cataloguing and Classification is a basic course and practice for library science students and Librarians. They are important for processing information materials, making it available in the library for users, both traditionally and electronically.

*Cataloguing*
Talking about Cataloguing, it is a process of preparing bibliographic details of resources into a 3 by 5 inches card - it could be a physical card or electronic card. The method of preparing catalogue entries to a card is a traditional practice in various institutions and it is expected to be mastered by Librarians. Sadly to say, most library students don't really understand the process of cataloguing, the principles involved, use of punctuation and the likes.
Robot Mini Catalogue is a mobile application that prepares catalogue entries and presents it into a 3 by 5 graphical card, saving the stress of intense studying of the AACR II. The catalogue entries can be exported as ".jpg", ".txt", and printed, and also can be uploaded to a database to share with other users.

*Classification*
One major illness in Library Science is unavailability of the most commonly used classification schemes [DDC and LC] to cater for the whole students during practical sessions, and this has affected the classification skills of Librarians. Using the DDC Class/DDC Schedule and LC Classes application, you have a meaningful access to the 23rd edition of the Dewey Decimal Classification schedule 2 and 3 and Table 1 to 4, and also the Main Classes, Subdivisions and outlines of the classification scheme [DDC and LC]. With these apps, you can study the various classes, divisions, outlines of these two
