RE: DEBUNKING OF RUMOURS ON ALLEGED AUTOMATIC TICKETS FOR ASPIRANTS

The Office of the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, wishes to categorically debunk and dismiss as false, baseless, and misleading the rumours currently making the rounds that the Governor has anointed certain individuals with automatic tickets ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

For the avoidance of doubt, His Excellency, Agbu Kefas, has never at any time made such a commitment to any individual or group. The Governor remains a firm believer in democratic principles, internal party democracy, fairness, and a level playing field for all aspirants.

Furthermore, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, has also made it unequivocally clear that there is no provision for automatic tickets for any aspirant in Taraba State. The party leadership is committed to ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive process that reflects the will of party members.

This clarification has become necessary in view of the growing apprehension and unnecessary tension such unfounded claims have generated among aspirants, party faithfuls, and the general public. We therefore urge all stakeholders to disregard these rumours in their entirety and refrain from spreading unverified information capable of causing disunity within the party.

The Governor remains focused on delivering good governance to the people of Taraba State and will continue to support all lawful and democratic processes within the party.

We call on all aspirants and party supporters to remain calm, united, and committed to the ideals of the party as preparations for the elections progress.
