AJIMOTOKIN URGES YOUTHS TO DRIVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, STRENGTHEN NETWORKING
The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Strategies and Mobilisation, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin, has called on young people to take deliberate steps toward building resilient communities through active participation, networking, and commitment to development.
Ajimotokin made this call while delivering a lecture at the first anniversary of Konye/Orunbemekun Youths held yesterday at Dr. Amos Akingba Hall, Ode Irele.
Speaking on the theme “Building a Resilient Community: Role of the Youths and Networking,” the legal expert emphasised the strategic role of youths in driving sustainable development within their communities.
He urged young people to position themselves as agents of positive change by acquiring knowledge, building meaningful relationships, and engaging in initiatives that promote unity, progress, and innovation.
According to him, networking remains a powerful tool for empowerment, noting that when youths collaborate and share ideas, they create opportunities that can transform their communities.
Ajimotokin also appealed to elders and well-meaning individuals in Konye to use their influence, experience, and resources to support and mentor the younger generation.
He stressed that investing in youth development is essential for the long-term growth and stability of the community, adding that collective effort between elders and youths will foster a stronger and more prosperous society.
