No Kwara LGA is under bandits, Govt clarifies.

We wish to alert the public to some reckless claims that nine local government areas of Kwara State are under siege by the bandits. This is totally false. No local government area is under siege in the state.

The unfortunate challenges we have had in a few areas do not warrant the wicked escalation and fake news which are being promoted by opposition elements in and outside of the state.

We have reasonable grounds to suspect that these elements are the online promoters and equivalence of bandits as they help to instill fear in the populace through fake news such as the unfounded claim of nine LGAs being under siege and movement of gunmen in parts of Asa LGA.

We regretfully observe that Mr. Peter Obi has lent his social media handles to spreading such fake news. This is not expected from him as a statesman. We request Mr. Peter Obi to bring down the post as it is totally false and inappropriate.

We also urge members of the public to avoid sharing unverified information, which may cause panic, confusion, and psychological trauma to the people.

This irresponsible behaviour is making things harder for the security forces who already have enough on their plates.

MADINAT ADIGUN-OLADOTUN: The New Face of Public Engagement at NACCIMA

At the recently concluded 65th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) held in Ilorin, Kwara State, a fresh wave of leadership was inaugurated to steer the Association toward a more impactful future. At the helm of this new leadership is renowned industrialist and business statesman, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, who ascended as the National President in accordance with the Association’s constitution. Supporting him is a cadre of distinguished professionals, including Alhaja Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, who now takes on the strategic role of the National Public Relations Officer (PRO).

A seasoned communications expert, brand strategist, and serial entrepreneur, Alhaja Madinat’s appointment marks a strategic shift in the Association’s commitment to amplifying its voice within Nigeria’s economic landscape. Her portfolio as PRO is expected to infuse a new energy into NACCIMA’s public relations machinery, reimagining how the Association engages its members, the government, and the broader business community.

With a solid academic background in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Alhaja Madinat is a certified member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and the Advertising Practitioners Association (APA). Her professional footprint reflects deep-rooted expertise in media communications, public affairs, and strategic stakeholder engagement.

Alhaja Madinat is the Managing Director of Trendsville Media Limited, an indigenous PR and communications firm with presence in Ilorin, Abuja, and Lagos. Under her leadership, the firm has grown to become a formidable player in the media and publicity space, managing high-profile branding and communication campaigns for businesses, institutions, and civil society groups. Her model of leadership emphasizes creativity, integrity, and youth empowerment, often opening the firm’s doors to young talents in search of mentorship and career pathways.

Her entrepreneurial passion extends beyond media. She is also the founder and CEO of Bayt El Jamal, a niche retail brand specializing in modest Islamic fashion and lifestyle products. Her business model speaks to a broader philosophy: that economic empowerment, particularly for women and young people, is essential to societal development.

Alhaja Madinat is not new to the Chamber movement. A longstanding and active member of the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), she served previously as the Chamber’s Public Relations Officer. Her tenure was notable for its innovation, especially in increasing the Chamber's visibility through consistent publications and engagement strategies.

Her elevation to the national executive of NACCIMA is seen by many as a well-deserved recognition of years of committed service, professionalism and innovative thinking. Under the visionary leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, she is expected to bring her wealth of experience to bear in improving the Association’s public image and fostering stronger relationships with stakeholders across Nigeria and beyond.

More than just a media executive, Alhaja Madinat is a compassionate leader, a mentor to aspiring professionals, and a passionate advocate for inclusive development. Her new role at NACCIMA marks not only a personal milestone but also a promising chapter for the Association’s public relations strategy which is expected to manifest in a much improved brand visibility for the Association.

If you are treating fibroid and still drinking Zobo... you are not ready to heal.

Let me tell you the bitter truth that many people won’t say.

Zobo might look harmless,it is sweet, it is natural, and it is everywhere.

But if you are dealing with fibroid, it is the last thing your womb needs.

Zobo is made from hibiscus, and hibiscus contains plant-based estrogen.

Now here is where the danger lies: fibroid feeds on estrogen.
So anytime you are sipping that cold Zobo, you are unknowingly feeding the very thing you are trying to shrink.

You are fighting and fuelling the same fire at the same time.

Some of you are spending money on fibroid treatment…
Yet drinking Zobo like water , linking Nzu "Native Chalk, eating BREAD because you didn’t know.

Well, now you know. And when you know better, you should do better.

If you truly want to shriπk that fibr0id and stop the bloating, the heavy periods, and the back pain, you need to change what you allow into your body.

And that starts with switching to natural, healing herbs that work with your body, not against it.

Ijele Amara Mmiri Njaba is not just any herbal mixure.

It is 100% natural, carefully formulated to flush out toxins, rebalance your hormones, and target the root of womb-related issues like fibroid, blocking of fallopian tube, infertility, UTI, Low S***m / ej*******on, Staphlococcus, and all various infections, PID, and hormonal imbalance.

As someone who works with women every day on their healing journey, I am not here to scare you,I am here to open your eyes. Yes my products are expensive... yes because it gives positive result.

This is what I do. I don’t just sell ,I guide. I walk with you. I help you understand your body and take charge of your health, naturally.

So before you drink that next cup of Zobo, ask yourself:
Do I want temporary pleasure or lasting healing?

Your womb is not a dustbin.
It deserves better.

*Emir's Pavilion:‎* *Safety first, not 150m fake* *news*

By AbdulLateef Gidado Alakawa

Its interesting to read preposterous postings by a duo of unpatriotic individuals who have no regard for the sanctity of human lives and public safety; these key considerations of safety, security and due process underline the recent Public Statement by the Durbar Committee on the proposed Pavilion at the fore court of the Palace of our Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr.Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari ( CFR ). The reaction to the Committees Statement by Wahab Oba, a well known lackey of the deposed Saraki dynasty and one Ismail Abdullahi from Ilorin was to contrive a fake news story of a purported N150 million inducement of the Emirs Committee by the Administration.

The penchant for agents of the decimated opposition forces in Ilorin for dishing out fake news, calling a dog a bad name to hang it, by denigrating the esteemed seat of Sheikh Alimi is assuming an alarming trend that must be quickly arrested. It is akin to addict whose dependence on the illicit and inebriating is incurable. We recall these culprits earlier purveying of similar fake news about the Emir’s medical trip to Germany after which a newspaper reporter had to profusely apologize publicly.

The duo, in this present case, threw all caution to the wind by attacking not only the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union ( IEDPU ) and the Durbar committee but also the esteemed Institution of the seat of Sheikh Alimi , the Maimartaba, His Highness, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari ( CFR).No true son or and daughter of the Emirate will stand idly by while these beneficiaries of the past rot desecrate the revered throne of Sheikh Alimi.

It is completely unacceptable, rude and uncultured for any Dahiri of Ilorin Emirate to accuse the sacred seat of Emirate Royalty and the Durbar committee comprising men and women of proven integrity and pristine mobility of being unduly influenced to issue a statement clarifying its stand on the pavilion.

The committee is right to insist on safety and adherence to due process before embarking on such a project considering the frequency of building collapses nationwide.

We thank the Almighty Allah that unlike the sacked era of Wahab Obas pay master which was exemplified by impunity, armed robbery and thuggery, this current Administration in Kwara has brought peace, harmony and strict adherence to the Rule of Law. It has also upheld the dignity of labour and and nurtured productive law -abiding youths whose patriotism has made Ilorin Emirate and Kwara in general proud but protective of our culture.

We recall many instances during the past era when Royal traditional institutions were deliberately denigrated and disrespected; for instance when Royalty, fully robed were assembled and paraded under the scorching sun to welcome a foreign pop artiste against all decency and protocol!! In distinction HRH the Emir of Ilorin being a father to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has at many occasions publicly acknowledged the Governors excellent disposition to the seat of Sheikh Alimi; he has reflected the highest humility, respect and regard to the House of Alimi never witnessed in the history of Ilorin Emirate.

Governance today compared to yesterdays regime is as clear as day light; a welcome departure from an era, when human lives were lost in routine stampedes at a proclaimed“ Ile loke” (high house); poor sacrificial lambs herded to receive 50 naira notes each and 3 pieces of akara. Stories of gory sacrificial offerings abound around these stampedes including removing organs in pregnant women in ‘reserved quarters‘.

The people of the Emirate will never forget the days of ‘political slavery” and will never go back . “Oju ti la”( our eyes are open) thanks to Otogè and the purposeful and enlightened leadership of Gov Abdulrazaq.

His Highness as an Icon in the hall of fame of enforcers of human rights, sanctity of human life, the Rule of law and due process and Custodian of Ilorin Emirate as a citadel of knowledge will never wish to see a return of impunity where sentiment overrides reason and safety standards to protect the people of the Emirate .
Never again shall the good people of our Emirate remain silent in our collective and individual duties to guard and guide the fresh air of doing what is right as opposed to arrogant impunity of the era of Wahab Oba’s pay master.

An era notoriously credited with no faith in the future of Ilorin Emirate and indeed the State as recklessly reflected in the fraudulent and criminal way it handled education, human capital, infrastructures, general development, youths and gender inclusion.

Those who crave for the return of the old order do not mean well for our people. They are nothing but agents of darkness and rejected oppressors Gladly Kwarans now know better.
