ABUJA – Leading figured in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilorin on Saturday, attested that the country, more than ever before, needs a man like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, comparing him to political sages in other climes associated with liberating their countries in dire times.
Leading the choir at the inauguration of the North Central Agenda for Asiwaju/Shetima, NCAA, were the Kwara State governor, Mall. Abdulrahaman Abdulrazak, Sen Dayo Adeyeye, national chairman, South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, National Convener, SWAGA, and Hon Ayo Omidiran, the South West group’s National Women Leader.
According to the governor who was represented by Hon Raji Rasak, Commissioner for Health in the state, the party in the state would work for Tinubu the same way it worked for President MohammaduBuhari.
“It’s not about money. It is about our commitment,” he said.
Adeyeye said that Asiwaju had prepared for the task of delivering the country long before now.
“Nigeria needs Tinubu now because he did not start preparing to be president yesterday.
“It has been his plans for a very long time and he knows exactly what to do.
“I can assure you that banditry and other social and economic menace would be a thing of the past as soon as Tinubu wins and assumes power,” he said.
In his speech, Ojo, went down history lane, saying that countries at different times of difficult have called upon unique leaders to save them.
“In the US, it was Roosevelt who was physically challenged and who led Americans through World War Two,” Ojo said.
Hon. Omidiran charged all party members to hit the street to canvass for votes for the party and presidential candidate.
“I can assure you that we will all repeat the rewards when Tinubu wins, she said.
NCAA was set up by collaborations from SWAGA as campaign office for the candidature of Asiwaju/Shetima mandate.
The office, a massive two storey complex along Umaru Audi road, GRA, Ilorin, is expected to be a beehive of political activities in the next five months before the general election and beyond.
