Adereti Storms Adeleke’s Ward, Promises Relief for Pupils, Gains Massive Support in Ede

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election, Aare Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, on Thursday visited Ward 02 (Abogunde/Sagba Ward) in Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State, the political ward of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

During the visit, Aare Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti was called upon by residents to intervene in the deteriorating condition of the L.A Primary School building in the Adogbe area of Sagba Abogunde Ward 02, where the school roof was reportedly blown off by a windstorm.

Responding to the appeal, Adereti pledged, on behalf of the governorship candidate of the APC in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), that the damaged roof would be fixed to provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils. The intervention, according to residents, further demonstrated the people-oriented leadership style of the APC governorship ticket ahead of the 2026 election.

As part of his engagements in Ede, Aare Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti also paid a courtesy visit to the Apex Leader of the APC in the area, Dr. Mufutao Oyewale, popularly known as Baba Royal, where discussions centered on party unity, grassroots mobilization, and strategic efforts towards the success of the APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

In another significant outing, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate paid a solidarity visit to the Students’ Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Ede, led by Comrade Ajayi Sodiq Akinpelu.

Speaking during the meeting, the student leadership expressed confidence in the candidature of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and pledged the support of the student community for the APC in the 2026 gubernatorial election.

Adereti, described by many as a grassroots politician and product of struggle, appreciated the students for their warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to youth inclusion, educational development, and people-centered governance.

Among dignitaries who accompanied the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate during the visits were Hon. Nureni Alagunmu, Hon. Gbenga Oyewale, and Hon. Nojeem Jamiu Olamide Alaiyere, alongside other party faithful and supporters.

LEADERSHIP AT ITS EXEMPLARY BEST

The elders once said, “Ikú tó pa ojúgbà ẹni, òwe ló ń pa fún ni” —

When tragedy befalls one’s contemporary, wisdom demands that others learn valuable lessons from it.

Sadly, with the growing insecurity across Nigeria and the painful recent kidnapping and murder of a school teacher abducted in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, every responsive and people-centered government ought to recognize the urgency of strengthening security measures and safeguarding lives and property.

At a critical time like this, one would naturally expect a serious government in Osun State to immediately convene emergency security meetings, strategize with relevant stakeholders, and procure operational equipment and logistics capable of improving the effectiveness of security agencies across the state.

The protection of lives and property should never be treated with levity, nor should governance be reduced to endless political theatrics and distractions while citizens continue to live in fear and uncertainty.

However, amidst this growing concern, the proactive and visionary leadership of the APC at the Local Government level led by ALGON, greatly inspired and influenced by the forward-thinking leadership philosophy of APC Governorship Candidate for the August 15, 2026 Gubernatorial Election, His Excellency, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and his Deputy Governorship, His Excellency, Aare (Engr). Benjamin Kayode Adereti, has once again demonstrated what purposeful leadership truly looks like.

The distribution of 90 Hilux trucks to various security agencies across Osun State is not merely a symbolic gesture; it is a strategic intervention aimed at strengthening the security architecture of the state at the grassroots level.

It reflects leadership that understands the importance of preparedness, responsiveness, and practical governance. It is leadership that recognizes that security is not a campaign slogan but a fundamental responsibility to the people.

This is what proactive, responsible, and responsive leadership looks like — leadership that anticipates challenges and acts decisively before situations spiral out of control. Leadership that prioritizes the welfare, safety, and peace of the people above political showmanship.

Osun State deserves genuine leadership rooted in competence, fairness, vision, and action.

As the saying goes, “equity aids the vigilant, not the indifferent.”

The time has come for the people to remain alert, discerning, and intentional about the future they desire for the state.

Shine your eyes. Reject “Ìjọba ojú kan.”

Embrace inclusive, progressive, and people-oriented governance.

Come August 15, 2026, Support and Vote for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and Aare (Engr). Benjamin Kayode Adereti as Governor and Deputy Governor of Osun State.

For a safer, stronger, and better Osun State for all.
