Going by historical fact Okeigbo Town as been in the fore news of Nigeria before independence. the ancient town have produce notable legends a perfect evergreen legend that readily comes to mind is Chief D.O.Fagunwa M.B.E. the first & pioneer Yoruba novelist, that boast of literary work translate to other national language i.e. OGBOJU ODE NINU IGBO ELEDUMARE; that got translated by a nobel laurette Wole Soyinka. FROM TWILTH TO OBLIVION: an eclipse of Okeigbo glory came with demise of old Western Nigerian. to futher depth of deprivisation from thereon till this 4th republic. THE FOURTH REPUBLIC AND THE EMANICIPATION BATTLE: since the birth of the 4th republic Okeigbo is yet to have a piece of the cake in the Ileoluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency.
