โ€ŽToday, I, alongside members of my team, had the privilege of visiting the venue of the Ogun Economic Development Group (OGEDG), an incorporated non-governmental organisation committed to promoting economic empowerment and improving the livelihoods of small business owners. OGEDG focuses on mobilising resources to provide grants, business equipment to entrepreneurs, enabling them to strengthen their businesses, expand their operations and create sustainable sources of income.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe visit was particularly significant as OGEDG came to Ota with a laudable empowerment initiative targeted at members of the informal sector. The programme is designed to empower 400 commercial motorcycle riders while also extending support to market women and traders within our communities. This kind of intervention is important because many people depend on daily business activities to provide for their families, and access to capital, equipment and other forms of support can make a meaningful difference in their economic stability.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIt was indeed a pleasure to be warmly received by Otunba and the Coordinator, Comrade Ajibowu, alongside other members of the OGEDG team. I sincerely appreciate the hospitality, openness and commitment demonstrated throughout the engagement. The initiative represents a practical approach to grassroots economic development, particularly at a time when many small business owners and informal-sector operators need greater access to opportunities that can help them remain productive and self-reliant.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽOur commercial motorcycle riders, market women, artisans, traders and other small business owners are important contributors to the local economy. Supporting them is not merely about giving assistance, it is about strengthening livelihoods, encouraging entrepreneurship and creating an environment where ordinary people can build sustainable businesses for themselves and their families.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI equally used the opportunity to introduce and speak about the progressive family in Ado-Odo/Ota, particularly the leadership and vision of my principal, Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola FCA and the collective aspiration of our candidates across the progressive family in Ado-Od/Ota.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI highlighted the importance of continuity, purposeful representation and leadership that remains connected to the people and responsive to their needs.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAs I continue my candidancy to represent Ado-Odo/Ota State Constituency I in the Ogun State House of Assembly in 2027, I remain committed to the principles of accessible leadership, inclusive development, youth and women empowerment, support for small businesses and effective grassroots representation.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI therefore commend OGEDG for bringing this important initiative to Ota and for recognising the needs of our commercial motorcycle riders and market women. I believe that when government, private organisations, NGOs, community leaders and political stakeholders work together, we can create stronger economic opportunities for our people. I look forward to continued collaboration and engagement as we collectively work towards a more prosperous Ado-Odo/Ota, a stronger Ogun West and a progressive future for all.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽTogether, with purposeful leadership and genuine commitment to our people, we can build the Ado-Odo/Ota we desire.

Yesterday, under the banner of the Ota Progressives Forum, I had the privilege of joining the OTA Ward II Stakeholdersโ€™ Meeting, alongside Hon. Gbadamosi Mutairu Akanji, ACA, ACIB, ACTI, Leader of the House, Ado-Odo/Ota 9th Legislative Council, and the Councilor representing OTA Ward II, Hon. Asalu Musediq, together with other respected leaders and stakeholders across Ota State Constituency.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for meaningful consultation, strategic engagement, unity and the strengthening of our collective commitment to the progress of our great party and our dear community.

A major focus of the gathering was the 2027 political journey, with stakeholders expressing their total support for the governorship ambition of my Leader, Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), and the re-election of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The discussions also centred on building stronger grassroots structures, deepening unity among party members, mobilising our people and ensuring that every level of leadership works together towards a resounding victory for all our candidates across Ado-Odo/Ota in 2027.

As progressives, we understand that victory is built through unity, consultation, commitment and effective grassroots mobilisation. The strength of our movement lies in our ability to work together, listen to one another and remain focused on the greater interest of our people.

The commitment displayed by the stakeholders at the meeting is a clear indication that OTA Ward II is ready, united and resolute in the journey ahead.

Together, with one purpose and one collective vision, we shall continue to build a stronger political family and deliver a total victory for APC in Ado-Odo/Ota in 2027.

The journey continues. The people are ready. The progressives are united. Victory is certain!
