✓ Ensure the security of lives, properties, and dignity of Nigerians by restructuring and enhancing the funding of our security agencies as well as retaining of security personnel. This include adopting updated crime fighting technology and security gears and weapons.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Abuja, yesterday 11/22/2022, Atiku assured Nigerians how he intends to resolve IPOB's agitations. He said since separation is definitely not in the interest of the country, he'll negotiate with the agitators of Biafra in the South East and offer them adequate inclusiveness in government and autonomy through his power devolution policy so they can be funded and develop at their own pace as much as other parts of the country alike.

Atiku Policy Plan on security outlines 7 policies how to tackle the security challenges that has badly damaged countless lives and properties and by direct implications thwarted the economy. These are three to begin with;

✓ Restore merit and professionalism in recruitment processes, appointments and promotions as enshrined in the actual acts establishing the security outfits and their extant rules and regulations.

✓ Through the above, to increase number of security personnel to meet the 200m Nigerian population by 1m police officers that we will meet the UN policy to citizen ratio of 1:145.

✓ Employ upto date tools for strategic engagement with state and non state actors in theaters of conflict.

AA' is no rookie, he has a track record for effectively tackling security challenges during their regime with his boss Obasanjo.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, condemned what he described as the lopsided appointment of heads of security agencies by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

“PDP will form a government of national unity. We will bring members of the opposition who would have lost and then, of course, we will move on from there. This is when only the ways to unify this country and we will now begin to move.
Today, we have 17 heads of various security agencies. All of them come from the North; I will not do that. I will make sure that every geopolitical zone is represented in these security outfits. This is also another way you can unify this country and give every part of this country a sense of belonging.
Atiku said, “To do this, we would devolve power to the state and local governments so that they have their own local police to tackle insecurity in the country. We shall make sure your local police don’t harass you.”

Coincidentally, these major security threats happened in the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa domains, Atiku decisively dealt with the situation once and for all as a true man in charge for all Nigerians alike

This is the very leader Nigeria needs at this peculiar time when security challenge is at it peak and with aggrieved sections of the country feeling marginalized, we need a person naturally inclined to peace building and unification who does not only desire to proffer solutions but who has done it before.

Abubakar spoke on Friday 11th November, 2022 at a meeting with business groups in Abuja.

The former vice-president said the ministry was established to ensure the development of the Niger Delta, hence it should be in the region.

“The ministry should be situated in the Niger Delta,” he said.

“What has happened since the ministry of the Niger Delta was created? Billions of monies have been allocated to it. Where are the monies going? Into pockets?

Most importantly to know and remember, in 1999 when Obasanjo And Atiku came into power, Atiku initiated and pushed for the historical " ALL INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT POLICY/IDEA " that ensured members of the opposition, competent women and youths, all tribes and creed were fully represented in key positions of their cabinet.

That policy was first made practical in the balanced selection of the members of the economic council he presided over and chaired.

Atiku was also a key player that ensured power went to the South to make up for Abiola's June-12 Saga and the the serial ruling of Northern Military Heads of States from 1985 to 1998.

Nigerians that care to remember and understand knows what that meant to the peaceful National stability we enjoyed then, it gave every Nigerian a genuine sense of belonging and stake in power to move the country forward.

Those two powerful master plans were solely responsible for calming down the violent tension all over the atmosphere.

WHY TO VOTE ATIKU:

# Epistle 3. The fierce Struggle with the Military for the civil rule (Democracy).

Most Nigerians did not know and some have chosen to forget that Atiku Abubakar was the first choice candidate to Head the Interim National Government (ING) of 1993 instead of Chief Ernest Shonekan.

He declined and was quatedhe saying *" I never wanted to dine with Abacha even with a long spoon. When I joined politics in the late 80's our direction then was only to fight the dictatorship and tyranny of the military regime and return Nigeria civil rule(Democracy) ".* (Paraphrased)

After the People's Democratic Movement (PDM) famous press conference in Lagos in January 12, 1994 that announced a call for the the Abacha lead military regime to exit by the government by December 31, 1994; a move that lead to the arrest and eventual death of Musa Yar'addua, arrest of Obasanjo, Akinwande Akinyemi and other leaders and close associates of the PDM.

Atiku was yet again offered a stake in the Abacha's regime, Atiku didn't only reject the offer but serve Abacha a 7- solutions memo, first of which was insisting Abacha exit by January 1st 2005, this memo came after Atiku lead the delegation that challenged Abacha in court for detaining their leader Yar'addua and others in prison.

Even after surviving assassination attempt that had many of his security aids killed in Kaduna in 1994 and having Abacha appropriated his NICOTES to Intels, Atiku stood his ground for the glory of National interest and the essence of Democracy.

Despite the support of the PDP governors for Atiku to run against his Boss, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo during the build up of the 2003 PDP Primary elections, Atiku rejected the offer in allegiance to the party’s resolution which stipulated that power should remain in the South for eight years and in the interest of National unity.

In 2006/07, Atiku again readily opted to defend democracy and National interest over individual and party loyalty and fought against his Boss, Obasanjo's Third Term Agenda, a fight he won against OBJ and majority of the Senate including the then senate president.

For those that care to understand would appreciate what those two noble acts meant for our democracy and National unity.

Atiku Is a hero for our democracy and a legendary Nationalist.

Two Jos Conventions.

Atiku Abubakar had in many times proven to be a true democrat whose Allegiance goes beyond self and sentiments.

During the 1993 Jos Conventions of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the A4 Primary elections, Atiku Abubakar stepped down for Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) over a northern candidate Alh. Babagana Kingibe. Atiku sacrificed self ambition to support democracy over military rule and what could have ended roughly.

Again! In Another Jos Convention of the 1998, Atiku threw the weight of his People's Democratic Movement (PDM) on Obasanjo to emerge the Presidential runner of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in a fierce bid, Atiku believed power returns to the south to make up for MKO June 12 Elections.

Atiku has always believed in true democracy as proven on how he conceptualized and pleaded with his Boss, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that their 1999 regime formed a cabinet of national unity where members of the opposition party had a great stake and part of the government to run.
