On behalf of the management and entire personnel of the Enugu State Fire and Rescue Services, I warmly felicitate with Your Excellency on the joyous occasion of your 54th Birthday.
This milestone is not only a celebration of your life but also of your visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and transformative impact across Enugu State.
Your administration has recorded remarkable achievements in strengthening the capacity and effectiveness of the Fire Service, including but not limited to:
* Infrastructure Upgrade: The resurfacing and asphalting of the Ogui Road Fire Station and Headquarters premises, significantly enhancing operational efficiency, accessibility, and safety.
* Modernization: The furnishing and equipping of the new headquarters with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, thereby improving response times and operational capability.
* Public Awareness: Funding the implementation of extensive public enlightenment campaigns across various media platforms, promoting safety consciousness and fire prevention culture among citizens.
* Fire Safety Training: The training of numerous Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, as well as organizations such as the staff and management of Ministry of Justice, strengthening institutional preparedness for fire emergencies.
* Installation of Firefighting Tools: Strategic installation of firefighting equipment in critical public buildings, including the Science, Technical and Vocational Management Board Office, the Enugu Customary Court of Appeal Office, Ministry of Justice, International Conference Centre, Enugu, Local Government Commission Office etc.
* Maintenance and Servicing: Consistent refilling, servicing, and certification of firefighting equipment within Government House and other key facilities.
* Workers’ Welfare: Your recognition as one of the pioneering governors in prioritizing workers’ welfare through improved and competitive minimum wage structures for civil servants in Enugu State.
Notably, Your Excellency’s timely release of funds for the day-to-day operations of the Fire Service has been instrumental in sustaining our efficiency and responsiveness in safeguarding lives and property.
These accomplishments underscore your administration’s strong commitment to safety, institutional strengthening, and the overall well-being of the people of Enugu State.
As you celebrate this special day, we pray that Almighty God grants you continued wisdom, strength, and good health to lead the State to greater heights.
