The indigenes of Ikot Abasi and Mkpat Enin Local Government Area resident in Eket, conscious of the need for greater co-operation among themselves and having a common social and cultural background have decided to come together to constitute themselves into an organization for the advancement and pursuit of those things which can be achieved by group effort. In furtherance of the above philosophy,

do hereby provide ourselves a set of rules to guide good conduct and welfare of members of this organization by making, enacting and giving ourselves a Constitution.
