A CALL FOR SELF-HELP INITIATIVE PROJECT BY NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, DOMA CHAPTER.

Self help initiative project has nowadays became a thing of the past. The need to revive it is sacrosanct, binded on individuals. No community can grow without individual's contributions either in kind or cash. Relatively, Doma locality is one of the most fastest developing community and so, the need to revive this spirit of putting together hands has it was before now is eminent.

We obtained the motto as the "Food Basket Of Nasarawa State" simply because of our high powered performance of productivity in agricultural activities. The growth and development in the farm produce came up as a result of self-help farming system that was practiced decades ago (Noman Gayya).

Today, there is need to be informed, reminded and called upon, religiously, culturally, humanly to mandate it on us to come together as one entity to arrest the circumstance ranging from environmental situation, that has direct connections with road network within Doma community, social responsibility package, such as scholarship, health care support, empowerment scheme and creating employment in both public and private sectors.

Doma youths need a focused orientation because we have all it takes, if we are to do it, then, we give the best out of it, be it academically, religiously, politically and otherwise.

The leadership of national youth council of Nigeria, Doma chapter has seen it necessary to make a wake up call to Doma youths from the present position to actualization stage.

Politics shouldn’t be a reason for division rather a game of achieving personal and community development, gone are days of politics of anarchy, let be useful to ourselves.

Our leadership, traditional institution, political and public office holders will surely support us if we conduct ourselves maturely. Today, youths are victims of virtually all social vices, we are the perpetuators of the crimes and we suffer any injury, loss and damages as a result of voluntary undertaking or involvement.

Doma youths need to rise, acknowledge and appreciate some notable personalities that their contributions to youths and community development are visible. Some of them are listed below for their philanthropic gestures:

The only thing that enticed my heart, to fall in love of DR EMMANUEL AKABE is nothing, but only because he is from the descendant of ALAGO NATION.

Secondly, he is a kind of leader who is very gentle and more'over educated.

Both the Governor and his deputy are all intellectual gurus by qualifications.

But some miscreant people, from ALAGO NATION, who are collecting money from some un-known politicians, are mis-behaving from this golden warrantation, or opportunity that God humblingly granted to us, of having the chair of this second citizen of the state.

Sometimes, a little boy, doesn't know the hotness of a fire, until he touched.

Even nobody loves DR. EMMANUEL AKABE, we generally love him in ALAGO NATION, and we have no one like him in ALAGO NATION, and we are muchly proud of him in entire ALAGO NATION...!!

May God protect and assist DR. EMMANUEL AKABE, and his master, for the betterment of our dear state.

The information of your appointment did not come to us as a surprise, looking at your pedigree which is the basis for your appointment as confirmed by the Executive Chairman of Doma LGC, Arch. Ahmed Sarki Usman when announcing your appointment. We have no doubt that, you will be a good ambassador of this Forum as you embark on this onerous responsibility. The meeting was well attended and very excited as well as astonishing because of the time provided which led to elaborate discussion on issues raised with the Hon.commissioner.

Usman Ogah and Mr Henry Omaku who recently made list as Carrier Ambassador designate and non Carrier Ambassador nominee by the President and Commander In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari and Muhammed Ali who has been elevated to the rank of Commissioner of Police by the Inspector General of Police.
Same felicitation goes to Alh. Ibrahim Addra who has just been appointed as Chief Press Secretary to His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor, Nasarawa State as well as Alh. Salihu Mohammed Oji who emerged as Chairman, NUJ, Nasarawa State in a keenly contested election that took place on 2nd July, 2020.

Your giant strides in 365 days is a clear testimony of your verious professional nomenclatures... "Engineer and physiological Doctor", as roads are being constructed across the state to link rural and urban areas, well massive and solid renovations of Primary schools, being the cradle of Education,employment of over 2000 teachers,Payment of N96m as backlog of bursary allowances ,distribution of 3 Hilux van,100 motorcycles,generators and cellphones to Army,Employment of over 40 staff at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia,Completion of new Presidential Ladge,Completion of Banqueth hall at Govt House,early distribution of fertilizer to farners to boost Agriculture,flag off of 25km Mararaban Udegi road,flag off of Kagbo-Wana 6km feeder road,1km Akwanga township,15km Sisim Baki-Kwarra road, renovations of over 700 Primary Health Care across the state and 9 General hospitals as well as the DASH,

The current administration also procured Personal Preventive Equipment (PPE),face mask and other consumable worth over N100m.

Governor Sule in his one year in office, flagged off N6bn Modern Bus Terminal at Karu,N1.2bn Lafia Terminal Bus,Flagged-off Keffi Square and Neighborhood market worth N6.1bn. Other track records are commissioning of new structures at GSS Gudi,commissioning of 65 lock-up shops at new Gudi Market,building of new courts in Gudi and Toto,
Completion of Skill Acquisition Centre to empower women and youths in the state, and many others that time and space may not be enough to enumerate them all.

No doubt, you are the Engineer of our dreams. We are really proud of the votes we casted to bring you on board. We are assuring you of our support to your administration at all times as you continue to give good people of Nasarawa State the desired governance. Once again, congratulations.
