An accomplished Chemical Engineer and seasoned Real Estate Developer.
Together, we engaged in rich deliberations on the script, plot, and overarching vision for the Idoma Centenary film and documentary, crafting a powerful narrative that honors our heritage while shaping the future.

IDOMA DIVISION CENTENARY-PLUS CELEBRATION 2026 🇳🇬

The Idoma nation is set to mark a historic milestone 103 years of unity, identity, and progress since the creation of the Idoma Division in 1923.

At the inauguration of the Central Working Committee, Professor Yakubu A. Ochefu, President of Ochetoha K’Idoma, emphasized that this is more than a celebration, it is a strategic movement to honour our past and shape our future.

With the theme “Honouring Our Century, Forging Our Future,” the nine-month celebration (March–December 2026) will showcase our rich history, culture, youth potential, women empowerment, innovation, and economic opportunities.

Key highlights include:

✨ Academic and policy summits

✨ Youth innovation and talent showcases

✨ Cultural festivals and sports competitions

✨ Investment drives and development partnerships

✨ Legacy projects like scholarships, a digital museum, and leadership academy

Over 3.4 million people across the nine LGAs and the global Idoma diaspora are called to participate.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to unite Idoma, Igede, Ufia, and Akweya people, celebrate our heritage, and build a stronger future together.
