August was another month of purposeful engagements, strategic conversations, and steady progress at YAPPPIP.

Through continued collaboration with government institutions, private sector partners, and other stakeholders, we remained focused on strengthening partnerships, advancing viable projects, supporting existing investments, and creating pathways for greater private sector participation in Yobe State.

Each engagement is part of a broader journey towards building a stronger investment ecosystem and turning opportunities into lasting economic value for our dear State.

DG YAPPPIP Participates in Hajj & Umrah Nigeria Expo 2.0, Kano

Earlier this month, the Director General of the Yobe State Agency for Public-Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (YAPPPIP), Dr. Aliyu Isah Chikaji, participated in the Hajj & Umrah Nigeria Expo 2.0 held in Kano, a platform dedicated to advancing conversations around the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem and the wider opportunities connected to it.

The Director General also served as the moderator of a panel discussion themed “Building Strategic Partnerships and Strengthening Nigeria–Saudi Economic Relations.” The session brought together representatives from the private sector, sub-national government, and trade policy space to explore how Nigeria and Saudi Arabia can move beyond goodwill and build lasting economic partnerships in trade, investment, agriculture, and logistics.

Beyond the panel, the Expo offered a valuable platform for the Director General to engage with ideas and perspectives around cross-border partnerships and economic cooperation, further broadening the networks through which opportunities can be identified and pursued.

YAPPPIP’s participation reflects the Agency’s commitment to being present where meaningful partnerships are built and new economic possibilities emerge. It also reinforces the Agency’s broader role in connecting Yobe State to strategic networks and opportunities that can translate into investment, partnerships, and sustainable economic growth.

Yapppip Conducts Aftercare Visit to Yobe State Hotel

The Yobe State Agency for Public-Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (YAPPPIP) has, on Friday, 7th August, 2026, conducted an aftercare visit to the Yobe State Hotel to assess progress on the ongoing renovation and revitalization of the facility by Yamaji Grand Impex Ltd.

During the visit, the YAPPPIP team met with the Chairman of Yamaji Grand Impex Ltd, Ambassador Babagana Ajimi, and undertook a firsthand tour of the facility to inspect the work carried out so far and assess the progress of the project.

The visit forms part of YAPPPIP’s continued post-investment engagement and monitoring efforts, aimed at supporting investors, addressing emerging issues, and ensuring that investments facilitated through the agency continue to progress towards their intended outcomes.

YAPPPIP remains committed to working closely with the investor and relevant government stakeholders to support the successful completion of the project and the transformation of the Yobe State Hotel into a productive economic asset for the benefit of the people of Yobe State.

Yapppip Engages Alpha for Environmental Technologies

The Yobe State Agency for Public-Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (YAPPPIP) has on Thursday, 30th July 2026, welcomed representatives of Alpha for Environmental Technologies, for an investment engagement focused on exploring opportunities for the development of renewable energy power plants in Yobe State.

Welcoming the delegation, the Director General of YAPPPIP, Dr. Aliyu Isah Chikaji, reaffirmed the commitment of the Yobe State Government to creating an enabling environment for private investment and assured the delegation of the Agency’s readiness to provide the necessary support, coordination and guidance throughout the investment process.

The Director General highlighted Yobe State’s vast investment opportunities, including its potential in renewable energy, and emphasised that the State remains committed to building lasting partnerships with credible private-sector investors.

He further reiterated that “Yobe is home to everyone”, noting that investors who come with genuine intentions to contribute to the State’s economic development will find a welcoming government, a hospitable people and an Agency committed to supporting investment success.

The engagement provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange perspectives and explore areas of potential collaboration in renewable energy, with a view to identifying viable opportunities that can contribute to energy development, job creation and sustainable economic growth in Yobe State.
