YOBE STATE FIRE SERVICE – FLOOD RESCUE OPERATION REPORT

The Yobe State Fire Service responded promptly to a distress call following a flooding incident at Malum Matari.

Upon arrival, our rescue team immediately commenced a search and rescue operation in the affected area. The operation was conducted with professionalism and in collaboration with other relevant agencies.

During the operation, officials of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) visited the scene and provided valuable support to our personnel, which contributed to the ongoing rescue efforts.

The Yobe State Fire Service urges residents to avoid crossing flooded roads, rivers, and drainage channels during heavy rainfall. Members of the public are encouraged to remain vigilant and report emergencies immediately through the appropriate emergency channels

Yobe State Fire Service Incident Report

The Yobe State Fire Service responded promptly to a reported fuel tanker accident along the Potiskum–Ngelzarma Road, near Ngelzarma.

The Executive Director of the Yobe State Fire Service and the Prevention Officer were also in attendance at the scene.

Upon receiving the distress call, our rescue team was immediately deployed to the scene to secure the area, assess the situation, and prevent any fire outbreak or further hazards.

Thankfully, no casualties or injuries were recorded during the incident. The scene was successfully managed, and appropriate safety measures were put in place to protect road users and nearby residents.

The Yobe State Fire Service urges motorists to exercise caution, especially when transporting flammable materials, and to always adhere to road safety regulations to help prevent accidents.
