My dear constituents.

The Bill on The Office of the Prime Minister.

The Bill is not creating any office of the Prime Minister. Rather, it's scrapping the presidential system of government and moving Nigeria to a parliamentary system of government.

All these sets of bills are simply members' bills or proposals if you like to the ongoing constitutional amendment.

90 percent of those bills would have been rejected by the House if they were debated. However, the leadership allowed all the proposed amendments by members to pass the second reading, to the Committee stage and
for the public to make their inputs during the public hearing.

Most of these Bills are dead on arrival.

On the South-South Development Commission.

The appointment and location of the Commission are all in line with the provisions of the Bill.

These were the considerations that informed our decision.
