Support and vote for Senator Bima Muhammad Enagi
Reminiscing some of his achievements from 2019 to 2023.
In the words of a great patriot Nelson Mandela “Youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow” therefore youths are the backbone of any society and truly determine the future of any nation. It is with this clear understanding that Senator Mohammed Bima Enagi has been paying adequate attention to youth development in Niger South Senatorial District.
Senator Mohammed Bima being a multi-dimensional leader sees the youth not only as future leaders but area of special investment for national development. The youth energy, inventiveness, character, and orientation define the peace and security of any nation.
Away from rhetoric and flattering political remarks, Senator Bima, through his actions and inactions in the last Three Years as a Lawmaker, has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he's in the National Assembly to alleviate the sufferings of the people and impact their lives positively through his numerous Youth Empowerment Programs.
Having earned the confidence of the electorate who overwhelmingly gave him their massive support to win his election in 2019 with unprecedented 81.54 percent of the votes cast, Bima remains grateful to the people of Niger South Senatorial District, reiterating his vow to continue to reward them with best Legislative interventions and good representation as a true hero of democracy.
In fulfilling this, in spite of the challenges, the Lawmaker has taken decisive actions that has given his constituents a sense of belonging. His grassroots Empowerment initiatives have ensured rapid transformation in the lives of women and youths who had been neglected and denied their right to enjoy democracy dividends in the past.
Three years down the line, it is worthy of note that Senator Mohammed Bima Enagi has sustained the tempo of good Legislation, peace and good governance through the following empowerment gestures:
1. He has been able to secured a permanent and pensionable jobs for his constituents in various organizations. In past years, more than 30 Youths had been employed in various organizations such as Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), POLICE ACADEMY, AIR FORCE, ARMY ACADEMY AND MILITARY RECRUIT, NIMC, NIRSAL, AMCON, HYPADEC, RAW MATERIAL, Primary Health Care Agency etc.
2. Secondly, he has been training and empowering a horde of youth to become self-reliant. Only this year, he has distributed more than a hundred motorcycles and dozens of cars to youth for them to take up commercial transportation business. Some of them got barbing kits and other paraphernalia to begin haircut business, while others got welding machines and computer sets. In the same scheme, women got deep freezers, sewing machines, and grinding machines for commercial purposes. Also, all the beneficiaries were given start-up capital. This scheme put paid to a recent World Bank position that the future of
individual sustainability is in entrepreneurship, not cooperate employments.
3. Although chided and unharnessed, farming is a venture that makes people smile to the bank. Senator Bima understood this and has been leading innovations and supporting poor farmers to make sure that it is harnessed in Niger South. Worthy of note is the experts he routinely takes home to train farmers in best practices of various crops, to enhance bumper harvests. In July, he embarked on technologized scheme that would enhance the farming of healthier and more commercially viable sorghum. He gave thousands of farmers seedlings, herbicides and fertilizers to kick-off the scheme. Under the same scheme, he trained and employed some youth to serve as extension workers supervising the farmers.
4. The sorghum scheme was followed by a similar one on rice in which he distributed rice processing starter-packs to farmers in Edati, Katcha and Mokwa LGAS. He also routinely gives farmers herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, sprayers and other inputs at no cost, all geared towards boosting their trade.
To further mainstream agriculture in the zone, he has established a cottage shea butter processing plants in Agaie.
5. Apart from all these, he has made sure that thousands of his constituents (with a special focus on youths and women) benefitted from the federal government's COVID-19 interventions and other social programmes designed to curb unemployment. Among the interventions are COVID-19 Household and SMES loans, Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), Government Enterprises Enhancement
Programme (GEEP), Agribusiness Small and Medium Enterprises Scheme (AGSMEIS), NPOWER and Special Public Works (SPW).
The Senator also distributed truckloads of food and other items to his constituents as reliefs for the effects COVID-19 had on their sources of livelihood.
6. In continuation of his staunch quest to resoundingly reduce unemployment in Niger South, Senator Muhammad Bima Enagj has embarked upon another impactful move.
While weeks ago Senator Bima trained and empowered hordes of women and youth in best practices of shea butter processing in Badeggi, this time around another set of women and youths in their hundreds were trained and empowered in cosmetology, making of beads, and make-up artistry.
The one week long training took place in Enagi & Gbako. The participants were drawn from Again, Bida, Edati, Gbako, Katcha, Lavun and Mokwa LGAs, which at the training, a starter packs were distributed to each participants.
From the foregoing, it is therefore crystal clear that the stewardship and quality Legislative interventions of Senator Mohammed Bima Enagi is truly poised to reward Niger South Senatorial District with more dividends of democracy in keeping with his vision and in appreciation of their love, goodwill, solidarity and overwhelming support all this while.
