True to his promise to prioritize people, the governor assured deserving tenants of free shop allocations. A move aimed at easing burdens and helping traders get back on their feet.

"Those who accuse the governor of imposition of candidates are not being fair or honest.
While he has a constitutional right as an individual to have a candidate he prefers, he does not play a direct role in the primary organization process to impose anyone. Election primaries are organised at the center in collaboration with the state chapter, following laid down guidelines"

On January 11, 2026, the POWA Complex in Ekpoma was destroyed by fire. Governor Monday Okpebholo visited, assessed the damage, and made a promise to rebuild.
80 days later, on April 4, 2026, the complex is fully rebuilt and commissioned.
Plus, ₦200 million donated to support affected traders.
