Edo-CSDA Concludes Sensitization Exercise for NG-CARES 2.0
The Edo State Community and Social Development Agency (Edo-CSDA) has successfully concluded a statewide sensitization exercise for the NG-CARES 2.0 Programme, engaging communities across Edo South, Edo North, and Edo Central Senatorial Districts.
The sensitization exercise was designed to help communities and vulnerable groups understand the goals, processes, and benefits of NG-CARES 2.0, as Edo State prepares for another phase of community-driven development support.
Leading the exercise was the General Manager of Edo-CSDA, Ms. Ivie Idahosa, who emphasized the importance of community awareness and proper understanding of the programme to ensure smooth participation at the grassroots. She noted that NG-CARES 2.0 will continue to provide targeted support to poor and vulnerable households through community-led micro-projects and essential basic services.
Ms. Idahosa was accompanied by the Operations Manager, Barr. Imoudu Longe, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Mr. Femi Ekhabafe, as the Edo-CSDA team visited various communities, interacted with leaders, and addressed questions on programme guidelines and community responsibilities.
Across the three senatorial districts, the team guided participants through the programme structure, community-driven development principles, and the role of communities in selecting and implementing micro-projects under Result Area 1 (DLI 1.4).
The sensitization exercise also reaffirmed the Edo State Government’s commitment to expanding support for rural and underserved communities, ensuring that NG-CARES 2.0 reaches the poor and vulnerable effectively.
With the sensitization now concluded, Edo-CSDA will proceed to the next stages of programme preparation and implementation across the State.
