*Gov. Obaseki harps on sound decision-making concerning economy, health at Book Launch*

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has emphasized the need for people to evaluate their choices especially as it relates to their economic and health decisions, explaining that there is a nexus between economics and health.
The Governor made this assertion during the valedictory Book launch of Professor Nwabueze Hyacinth Achime on βEconomics of Health and Illness- the Victimβs Choiceβ, at the University of Benin.
Governor Obaseki represented by the State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Osilama Okuofu, commended the author of the book in the light of its significance and relevance to contemporary everyday living.
While encouraging various stakeholders to continue to support initiatives that will enhance the reading culture and library of the Nation, the Governor donated the sum of one million Naira in support of the book launch.
The Book βEconomics of Health and Illness - the Victimβs Choiceβ, buttresses the need for creating a life of balance between economics and health; challenges in human health, associated infrastructural challenges, and how they present real problem in the society, and more importantly the implications of choices in the lives of people.
It also stresses the need for Economists and Health Economists to combine efforts in expanding their knowledge and interests in teaching others the meaning of healthcare economics and its advantages.
Present at the book launch was the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Ali; the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Lilian Imuetinya Salami; the Enugu State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aka Eze; dignitaries from the academics, amongst others.
