ANAMBRA 1YOUTH 2SKILLS: EXPECTATION MEETS OUTCOME

The event of yesterday is significant for two reasons. First, it is unprecedented and the first grand scale youth empowerment preceded by intensive training, with an effective mentoring, monitoring and evaluation process. Then the next is the awe around the streets, communities and villages in Anambra occassioned by the fact that most people now wonder how conscientiously a Leader in recent time is sticking to his campaign promise.

Governor Soludo's single-mindedness in addressing core issues of development is driven by empathy for the people whose trust he has committed not to betray. So, when Soludo said he would create one thousand (1000) youth millionaires annually in the State, he has set the tone with yesterday's massive empowerment program and the people already know that he is on course to surpassing himself.

Anambra as the National headquarters of small scale enterprise is well on its way to the global stage as a leading player in the Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprise. What the Anambra State Government is doing with the activation a skill based youth enterprise is the prelude to a blast in industrialization that will change the face and fate of the State in the long-term.

This is another promise fulfilled.

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: ANAMBRA TALENT DATABANK

The Anambra State Governorship election was successfully conducted in November 2021 and a new administration will assume office on the 17th of March 2022.

A Transition Committee mandated to ensure a seamless transition will among other things; produce an Anambra State Talent DataBank, which the Governor-Elect will use as a tool for recruiting a talented team and volunteers who will serve Ndi Anambra in the course of his administration.

As stated in his Manifesto and repeated during his election campaigns, the Governor-Elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has committed to giving everyone who has the requisite competencies, capabilities, and relevant valuable contributions to the good governance of Anambra State an opportunity to do so.

Therefore, to enable an accessible, open, credible, and competitive process, the Governor-Elect has approved the launch of the online system to collect information on available competencies, experiences, and passion through a platform https://www.anambratalentdatabank.ng

This platform is designed for Ndi Anambra to “Express Interest '' in volunteering or seeking a political appointment or career in paid public service positions. This Talent DataBank offers a transparent and level playing field for talent search and team selection processes that are consistent with the vision of the Governor-Elect.

We hope to attract problem-solvers with passion, competence, capacity, and integrity who are interested in joining a team of other selfless public servants to transform Anambra State into a livable and prosperous smart megacity.
