Former Staff of the Defunct Water Corporation and ANSEPA Lauds Soludo's Developmental Projects and Endorsed His Second Term Bid
Ahead of the 8th November, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, the former staff of the defunct Anambra State Water Corporation and Anambra State Environmental Protection Agency (ANSEPA) have unanimously endorsed Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for second term in office, citing his remarkable achievements and commitment to the development of the State.
During a tumultuous gathering at the Anambra State Urban Water Asset Holdings Corporation Headquarters, Awka, as part of their solidarity to Governor Soludo's transformation agenda, especially for his prompt intervention in resolving a long standing dispute over unpaid salaries, pensions, gratuities, and other deserved entitlements, the group expressed unreserved satisfaction at the significant investment of huge resources in Anambra urban and rural water schemes.
According to the drafted and signed communique by the leaders of the defunct ASUWAHC and ANSEPA, Comrade Chris Ifeanyi Nwosu and Comrade Emmanuel Onyejiaka respectively, it explained that the administration of Governor Soludo in three years plus has positively impacted on lives of the people across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state especially in the water sector, acknowledging the governor’s developmental projects in the state, including road infrastructures, human capital development, healthcare services, security, education and agriculture.
As an anchorman and host to the group, the MD/CEO of the Anambra State Urban Water Asset Holdings Corporation, Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor disclosed that Governor Soludo has rebuilt the system, restored hope and trust in governance, and repositioned Anambra as the economic hub of the globe, described the endorsement as a testament of goodwill and rebirth for the state.
Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor commended the untiring efforts of the leaders of the defunct groups and noted that the unanimous endorsement is a proof of unalloyed solidarity, adding that it will be matched with civic action, and advised that members should register and collect their permanent voter's cards to make their voice count in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu applauds the former staff of the defunct ASUWAHC and ANSEPA for the endorsement of Governor Soludo's second term bid, maintaining that it's a validation of people-oriented governance, where his commitment to fairness, equality, equity, justice and infrastructure reforms has impacted and improved lives of the citizens.
The endorsement event was witnessed by the Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Adebayo Ojeyinka, who represents the Head of Service, State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, among others.
